Electric stapler

An electro-magnetic stapling tool having a mechanism for adjusting the power with which the solenoid-operated plunger and the staple driver drive the staples. In its preferred embodiment, the power adjusting a mechanism includes a manually adjustable selector knob having a cam element, and includes a cam follower mounted in association with the upper end of the solenoid core. Rotation of the selector knob adjusts the length of the solenoid power stroke and the resulting driving power of the stapling tool.

Electro-magnetic stapling tool

A hacksaw with an improved mechanism for adjusting the tension on the blade. The mechanism includes a lever for vertically moving a rod to pivot a rocker arm to place tension on the rocker arm-held blade. The rod has an adjustment knob at its lower end to precisely select final blade tension. The lever has a latch means for securely locking the lever closed, and the latch means has a safety feature which prevents accidental and sudden unlocking of the lever.

A stapler includes a main body, a magazine portion and a handle. A solenoid with a reciprocatable plunger is mounted within the main body. The plunger is constrained for movement along an axis that is at an acute angle with respect to an axis along which the staples are driven. A driver, which is moved by the plunger, drives a staple into a workpiece. A circuit is provided to permit only one staple to be driven for each actuation of the stapler.

A tool for setting blind hollow rivets which include a mandrel to be pulled from the accessible side of work to set the rivet on the blind side. The tool includes a body, a pulling device movable relative to the body, a pair of actuating levers pivoted to the body, and linkage means connected to each of the levers and connected at a single point to the pulling device.
