A push joint adapter is connectable to one or more push joint pipe fittings in a pipeline. The push joint adapter includes an insertion section insertable into a socket of a push joint pipe fitting in an interference fit, a pipeline section connectable with the pipeline, and a collar disposed between the insertion section and the pipeline section. A restraint ring assembly cooperable with the push joint pipe fitting includes a restraint ring secured to the pipeline section and engaging the collar and a restraint rod connected to the restraint ring. The push joint adapter facilitates connecting push joint gasketed bell gate valves and fittings in a pipeline such as a polyethylene pipeline.

Connection system for push joint valve and fittings

The quick coupler anchor includes an anchor body having a pair of vertical plates extending generally at right angles one to the other and spaced from one another. Planes containing the plates, when extended, intersect along a vertical line offset from the center axis of a valve received in a recess in a member connecting upper edges of the vertical extending plates. The recess has a plurality of flats for registration with the flats of the hex nut of the valve body. When the anchor is embedded in the ground with the recess about the hex nut, the anchor restrains rotational movement of the valve relative to the anchor in response to a torque applied to the valve to open or close the valve. The center of vertical support of the anchor lies generally coincident with the vertical axis of the valve to provide stability to the valve and anchor upon vertical loadings.

Quick coupler anchor

A service tee forming part of a main fluid line has a laterally extending female fitting with threads and a gasket spaced axially from the distal end of the threads. A male fitting having a series of male threads and a cylindrical extension terminating in the distal end of the male fitting is threadedly coupled to the female fitting. The threads are non-tapered and cylindrical. A mechanical connection between the male and female fittings is provided by the engagement of the threads, while the seal is formed between the gasket and the extension, thereby enabling orientation about the common axes of the fittings relative to one another for a full 360&#xb0;.

Lateral connection system

An upper end fitting for a nuclear fuel assembly. A main body portion that is square in section has a base rigidly attached thereto. A combined pedestal and holddown spring assembly received in the main body portion is formed from leaf springs attached together by a bolt and nut. The leaf springs are bolted together such that the exterior radius or convex surface of the springs face each other. The bolt and nut are sized and shaped to serve as the pedestal for the control assembly of the reactor. A spring retainer movably received in the main body portion retains the springs inside the main body portion. The retainer is also provided with a bore therethrough sized to allow the bolt/pedestal to extend therethrough.

Upper end fitting

A nuclear fuel assembly with a debris filter. The lower end fitting of the fuel assembly has a stamped plate attached thereto that serves as a debris filter immediately upstream of the fuel rods. The stamped plate is provided with a plurality of flow holes in a size and pattern that provides filtration of debris damaging to the fuel rods while maintaining adequate coolant flow through the fuel assembly.
