A server may assign a temporary phone number and an extension number to a shipment. The temporary phone number may be based on a geographic location of where the shipment is to be delivered. The extension number is associated with the shipment. The temporary phone number and extension number may be included on a shipping label rather than the user's phone number. During the delivery of the shipment, a delivery person may encounter a delivery issue, such as needing directions. The delivery person may call the temporary phone number and extension number and be connected to a user device. The delivery person may communicate the delivery issue, such as asking for directions to the user's residence. Upon delivery of the shipment, the server disassociates the temporary phone number and the extension number from the shipment.

System and method for protecting user information that is associated with a shipment

Systems, methods, and devices are described herein for managing item storage using rotating platforms. In some examples, an item can be loaded on to a material conveyance device. The item then can be unloaded from the material conveyance device to a rotating platform. The rotating platform can include a sloped surface. Sensor data that identifies the item can be received. A robotic manipulator can be used to manipulate the item based at least in part on the sensor data.

Rotating storage systems

A system to select and reposition inventory items on one or more shelving units is disclosed. The system can include a robotic positioning system (RPS) to move inventory items on a shelf to the front of the shelf, or off the shelf, to facilitate selection, delivery, and restocking of the inventory item. The RPS can include a movement system to enable it to position itself behind a particular inventory item on a shelf. The RPS can also include a positioner to enable the RPS to move the inventory item backward and forward on the shelf. The RPS can be mounted on a free-standing frame to enable movement in two axes and repositioning of inventory items in a third axis. The RPS can also be centrally mounted in a shelving unit and can move vertically and rotate about a single axis to reposition inventory items radially.

In some cases, the tag may be applied to the data when the data is decrypted, and the tag may propagate with the data as the data is passed between processes. A software module may include control logic that is configured to apply data usage policies based on the type tag of data. When the software module attempts an action on the data, such as storing or communicating the data, the control logic may access policy information. Based on the policy information, the control logic may allow the action, prevent the action, or allow the action to proceed on a modified version of the data.
