Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for receiving signals that represent inertial forces experienced by the aircraft from an inertial sensor mounted in an aircraft. Identifying a pattern within the signals that represents a reduction of thrust on one side of the aircraft caused by an engine failure. Causing an indication within the aircraft to be activated in response to identifying the pattern, and thereby, alerting a pilot to a possible engine failure.

Techniques are described for alert-triggered recording spectrum data. In one embodiment, a method comprises determining whether network performance for one or more communications channels of a wireless network is below a threshold. In response to determining that the network performance for the one or more communications channels of the wireless network is below the threshold, recording of spectrum data for energy on the one or more communications channels of the wireless network is initiated. In an embodiment, determining whether network performance is below a threshold comprises determining whether the quality of at least one communications channel is below a threshold. In another embodiment, determining whether network performance is below a threshold comprises determining whether one or more network parameters monitored on one or more network elements indicate that network performance is below a threshold.

Alert-triggered recording of spectrum data

A method includes receiving a query that identifies a taxonomy item. The method also includes performing a computer taxonomy based search of a plurality of content items against the taxonomy item in response to the query. The taxonomy item is selected from a faceted taxonomy. The computer based taxonomy search identifies a subset of content items where each content item in the subset of content items has a non-binary relevance score with respect to the taxonomy item.
