A steerable trailer to be drawn by a vehicle is provided that has a generally horizontal frame to which are mounted two wheel supports. Each wheel support is pivotably mounted to the frame to rotate about a vertical axis and to support a wheel rotatably mounted to the wheel support to rotate about a horizontal axis. A steering pulley is also pivotably mounted to the frame to rotate about a vertical axis, and a tongue adapted for temporary attachment to the drawing vehicle is attached to the steering pulley. Any angular displacement imparted to the steering pulley by the drawing vehicle, through the tongue, is communicated from the steering pulley to each wheel support by a flexible tensile member, resulting in a proportional angular displacement of each wheel support. The flexible tensile member forms a continuous FIG. 8 loop to rotate each wheel support in a direction opposite to that of the steering pulley.

Tracking trailer

A steerable trailer to be drawn by a vehicle is disclosed having a pair of first and a pair of second steerable wheels. Each of the steerable wheels are retained by a wheel support which is rotatable relative to the trailer frame about a steering axis. A tongue is pivotably attached to the frame for connecting the trailer to the towing vehicle. A flexible tensile member is attached to the tongue and extends about an engagement surface affixed to the wheel supports. The first and second wheel supports rotate in opposite directions in response to the pivoting of the tongue relative to the frame to steer the trailer.

Pivotably connecting a first and second housing to allow limited relative rotation along a hinge axis, having a first member provided with a sealing surface and a circumaxial slot extending about the hinge axis projecting into the first housing. The second pivot member sealingly cooperates with the first pivot member and has a port formed therein aligned with the circumaxial slot and extending into the second housing for providing an internal routing for a cable. Attachment means are also provided to axially align and pivotably retain the first and second pivot members.

Control of cylinder air swirl in an internal combustion engine is provided by a swirl generating inlet port having a movable vane forming a ceiling for at least the port swirl portion to vary the cross-sectional area of the port swirl portion surrounding the valve axis. Various possible vane configurations are disclosed.
