The invention comprises an enema device configured for fluid delivery and evacuation management—which includes a retaining component for retaining a part of the enema device within the rectum, coupled with a collection component for collecting stool or liquid discharge received from the rectum. The device may additionally include a fluid delivery component to enable delivery of enema fluid to the colon, and/or a withdrawal component to support safe removal of the device from the patient.

Enema device

The present invention provides devices for collection of stool or fecal discharge. In an embodiment said device comprising a retaining component configured for deployment within a subject's rectum and having an annular cross-section, said annular cross-section of the retaining component forming a fluid inlet into an open end of a collection component affixed to said retaining component and forming a receptacle for matter discharged from a subject's rectum.

Fecal discharge collection device

A urine removal device includes a plurality of layers suitable to capture and transfer urine. A conduit system is disposed inside of the device and extends from the proximal portion of the device, where it interfaces via an outlet conduit member, to the distal end of the device where it draws in urine from the device. The device allows air flow through the device to support suction that is applied. The fluid layer system has at least one conduit configured to draw urine from the distal portion of the device up to the proximal end of the device, and into the outlet conduit where it exits the urine removal device.

Female fluid removal device

A urine removal device includes a pouch with a proximal opening that provides access to an internal compartment of the pouch that is suitable to contain urine. A fluid diverter system is disposed inside of the pouch and extends from the proximal portion of the pouch, where it interfaces via an outlet conduit member to the environment outside of the pouch, to the distal end of the pouch where it draws in urine from the pouch. The pouch has at least one air port to allow air flow through the device to support suction that is applied inside of the pouch. The fluid diverter system has at least one conduit member configured to draw urine from the distal portion of the pouch up to the proximal end of the pouch, and into the outlet conduit member where it exits the fluid collection device.

Fluid removal device

A filter which will be attached to the end of a smoking product such as a cigarette. It would have a normal filter connected to the tube of tobacco, with a dual chamber which holds fine tobacco dust particles in one chamber. The other chamber would contain a plurality of loose fibers and would be connected to another normal cigarette filter.

An improved system of the type having a ball or sphere and within it a remote-control powered vehicle, has provisions for determining vehicle orientation for more efficient control including one or more of: transparent ball portions, color ball portions and forward-illuminating spotlight; ability to store the vehicle with the ball inflated is provided by a mercury switch which turns off power when the vehicle is inverted; angle strips improve traction externally and a soft, semi-inflated ball is used for better internal traction between vehicle and ball wall; charging of vehicle batteries through the ball wall is disclosed.

Remote control ball

A plug assembly which is resistant to loosening in response to thermal expansion and contraction is provided. The plug assembly comprises a deformable sleeve which is closed at one end and open at its opposite end to provide a chamber which receives a wedge slidable with respect to an expandable ring mounted in the chamber adjacent its open end. When pulled axially, the wedge expands the ring which, in turn, expands the sleeve radially outward into engagement with the inner wall of the item to be plugged. A retainer surrounds the out-pulled wedge and cooperates with a nut and threads on the wedge to tension the same and thereby apply continuous outward pressure to the sleeve. Preferably, the outer periphery of the sleeve is provided with a series of alternating edges and grooves which cut through any scale which may be present on the inner surface of the plugged item.

Leak resistant plug assembly

A shell and tube type heat exchanger having a tube bundle supported at opposite ends in tube sheets is capable of being repaired quickly by closing off opposite ends of a damaged tube using the method and apparatus disclosed. The apparatus comprises a two-part tapered plug assembly which is adapted to be installed in the tube in alignment with the tube sheet and expanded radially outward into tight engagement with the interior of a tube by pulling an inner wedge portion of the plug assembly axially relative to an outer ring portion. The pulling is effected by an hydraulic ram which is connected by a breakaway unit to a pull rod which slides axially relative to a compression tube both of which are received axially within the defective tube. The hydraulic ram pulls the rod relative to the compression tube and thereby draws the wedge inside the ring until the breakaway connection releases the pull rod. A shorter length of compression tube and pull rod is utilized for plugging the other end of the defective tube and for plugging U-bend types of heat exchangers. A plug assembly which is particularly suited for use in closing off tubes lined with scale and/or corrosion has a sleeve with a series of circumferential cutting edges alternating with grooves. The edges sever the scale and displace the same into the grooves when the sleeve is expanded outwardly by the wedge.

Plug assembly for use in method and apparatus for repairing heat

A shell and tube type heat exchanger having a tube bundle supported at opposite ends in tube sheets is capable of being repaired quickly by closing off opposite ends of a damaged tube using the method and apparatus disclosed. The apparatus comprises a two-part tapered plug assembly which is adapted to be installed in the tube in alignment with the tube sheet and expanded radially outward into tight engagement with the interior of a tube by pulling an inner wedge portion of the plug assembly axially relative to an outer ring portion. The pulling is effected by an hydraulic ram which is connected by a breakaway unit to a pull rod which slides axially relative to a compression tube both of which are received axially within the defective tube. The hydraulic ram pulls the rod relative to the compression tube and thereby draws the wedge inside the ring until the breakaway connection releases the pull rod and enables the pull rod, compression tube and auxiliary parts to be withdrawn from the defective tube. A shorter length of compression tube and pull rod is utilized for plugging the other end of the defective tube and for plugging U-bend types of heat exchangers.
