The present invention is a method for providing a low cost source of mortgage funding to sub-prime borrowers which reduces the desire of quality sub-prime borrowers to leave the mortgage pool. A lender may receive an amount of money from a financial institution in the form of a borrowing instrument. A lender may deliver an amount of money in the form of a collateralization loan to a housing agency. Housing agency may invest loan in one or more financial products, such as lender underwritten insurance policies. Housing agency may deliver individual mortgage loan recommendations to lender. Lender may borrow funds used in the collateralization loan by selling the interest bearing borrowing instrument to a financial institution. Lender may also sell individual mortgage loans to one or more government sponsored entities. From these financial products, borrowing instruments, and individual mortgages, mortgage funding may be provided to sub-prime borrowers.

Method for providing an affordable housing collateralization pool

A cable clamp of the spring biased wedge type incorporates a housing having an elongate slot formed therethrough, the slot being disposed in parallel relation to the direction of movement of the wedge in the housing. A retractor pin extends through the slot and is coupled to the wedge. The wedge may be shifted into cable releasing position by the application of compressive forces exerted between the portions of the pin projecting through the slot and an abutment portion or end of the housing. A simplified method of assembly includes interposing a spring between the wedge and the portion of the housing, shifting the wedge such that a blind bore in the wedge is aligned with the slot, and thereafter connecting a pin to the wedge as by press fitting, portions of the pin projecting outwardly through the slot to thereby capture the wedge and spring.

Cable clamp

A resistance weld pin for connecting batts of insulation to the interior of ducts is disclosed, the pin having superior aerodynamic properties which minimize turbulence in the duct flow stream and reduce the tendency of increments of the insulation surrounding the pin will become separated from the main body of the bott when introduced into the air stream. The pin assembly comprises a washer and a pin component projecting through the washer. The upper surface of the washer includes an annular depressed trough surrounding the head of the pin. Preferably the head is disposed within a central depression in the washer, the upper surface of the head forming a contact surface for the applying electrode and lying in a plane above an annular platform extending between the trough and the depression.

Aerodynamic resistance weld pin

A bow resistant connector for coupling frame components at right angles to each other includes a pair of legs extending from an apex, the legs being disposed at right angles to each other. The lateral side edges of the legs include fingers the outer surfaces of the fingers being formed with barbs for locking the leg to a respective frame member. The fingers are separated from the main body of the legs by slots. A boss is deflected from the body of the leg outwardly to provide a reinforcing rib, the boss being located between and in general alignment with the fingers. A secondary boss or rib member is formed adjacent the lead edge of the leg the secondary boss extending to the opposite side of the leg from the main rib or boss. The secondary boss engages a surface of the frame to provide additional stability to the connection between the connector leg and the frame component.

Inhibition of raf kinase activity using aryl ureas

The present invention is directed to a forming device adapted to impart a precise arcuate curvature to a sheet metal blank. The device includes a forming drum and a compression roller in proximate space relation to the surface of the drum. A characterizing feature of the device resides in a resilient deformable metal sheet having a lead surface fixed to the drum, the metal blank to be formed being captured between the drum surface and the flexible metallic sheet. Both the blank and the sheet are caused by the compression roller to conform to the curvature of the surface of the drum.

Vane forming apparatus

A dispenser apparatus for holding, dispensing, and severing lengths of flexible duct connector material from side-by-side coils thereof includes a guide station and a cut-off station shiftable laterally of the apparatus and into alignment with a selected one of the coils. The coils are supported on an anti-friction cradle which includes anti-friction rollers extending laterally of the device, the ends of the rollers being supported on chains hung in catenary fashion. Since the rollers are capable of moving toward and away from each other, they are free to define a cradle which conforms to the periphery of the specific coil which is being fed to assure that the connector material may be withdrawn for processing with the lowest possible force.

Dispenser Apparatus for flexible duct connector

An actuator assembly for a multi-blade damper includes a base plate having slots extending longitudinally thereof and slidably receiving drive portions of the louver shafts. A series of drive slots extending generally perpendicular to the clearance slots is formed at each side of the clearance slots. A series of link assemblies are keyed to the shafts, the link assemblies including actuator pins extending into selected ones of the drive slots. A clamp connection interposed between the link and drive portion of the louvers permits relative adjustment of the link relative to the louver. Movement of the base plate parallel to the plane defined by the axes of the louvers results in tilting of the louvers in a selected direction, dependent upon which of the series of drive slots is occupied by a pin of a respective link.

Damper actuator assembly

A banding device is formed of two metallic components, namely, a clamp component and a strap component. The clamp and strap components are slidably assemblable into interlocked engagement. The strap includes regularly longitudinally spaced locking components, the locking components including teeth deflected from the plane of the strap and locking shoulders in the plane of the strap. The strap is applied by advancing the free end through a passage formed in the clamp, a pawl of the clamp being resiliently biased into the passage. The teeth and pawl co-act to permit movement of the strap through the clamp in a first direction, the pawl biasing the stop shoulders into the path of a barb extending into the passage to block reverse movement of the strap. The pawl is manually accessible, enabling the spacing between the pawl and barb to be increased to thereby release the strap permitting retraction of the strap from the clamp.

Reusable metallic banding assembly

A caulk dispenser device for use with conventional caulking cartridges and powered by expanding refrigerant liquid is disclosed. Expanding gases are released into a chamber defined in part by a housing and in part by the caulk cartridge, the plug or piston within the cartridge forming a boundary of the chamber. Discharge of the gas directly against the piston is avoided by the interposition of a deflector surface within the housing reducing the tendency of the caulk to increase in viscosity and bond to the walls of the cartridge or to tilt relative to the cartridge. The propellant liquid-gas material incorporates an increment (e.g. 5%) of perflurocarbon or like compound liquid at ambient temperatures which minimizes the cooling effect resulting from discharge of the gas. Preferably, the device is fabricated of material having a low thermal conductivity such as polymeric material to thereby reduce the cooling effect on the canister of propellant with resultant loss of pressure.

Caulk-dispensing device

An insulation support pin extender is disclosed for engaging insulation batts of thickness greater than can be accommodated by known support pins. The extender comprises a tubular oval shank adapted to encompass the tine of a mounted support pin, the extender including a projecting shaft defining an extension of the shank. The shaft includes a rib to render same resistant to bending, except at positions in registry with paired recesses formed at the sides of the shaft.

Insulation support pin extender

An apparatus and method of forming air turning assemblies is disclosed along with a novel vane supporting rail structure for use therewith. The apparatus holds a pair of rails in spaced parallel relation at a clinching station at which the edges of a vane may be engaged in opposed slotted protuberances in the rails. The spacing of the rails may be increased at the station against a yieldable biasing force, the station including a deforming mechanism for deflecting the vane edges to lock the vanes to the rails. The rails include cam surfaces leading to the vane receiving slots and blocking walls at the trailing ends of the slots to facilitate introducing the vane edges into the slots.

Vane rail stock for air turning assembly

An article of manufacture comprises an elongate strip or reel of separable metallic segments having pressure sensitive backing tape secured thereto. The segments include a cutout defining an elongate tine bendable to right angles to the main body portion of the segment. The tines include a longitudinally directed reenforcing rib, the side edges of the tine and the rib being formed with aligned notches enabling the fine to be bent at right angles in registry with the notches. A washer is provided which may be sleeved over the tine, the washer including an aperture configured such that when the washer is mounted over the tine and rotated, the washer will be locked to the tine.

A portable apparatus for forming an air turning assembly comprises upper and lower rail retaining tracks which are yieldably biased toward each other. Vane distorting chisels are mounted in spaced relation below the lower track and a staking assembly, movable longitudinally so as to sequentially register with the chisels, is mounted above the upper track. The staking assembly is shiftable toward the fixed chisels beneath the lower track whereby edges of a vane temporarily mounted between the rails may be staked in a single operation to both rails, downward movement of the staking chisels being effected to deform portions of the vane above the upper rail, such downward movement also functioning bodily to shift the rails and vane downwardly, such the portions of the vane below the lower rail are deformed by the chisels below the lower rail.
