A wire connector includes an outer shell with a wire cavity therein, a plurality of raised ribs on the surface of the outer shell, each of the raised ribs having a rib cap overmolded on to a top surface with a gap between the rib cap corresponding to each of the raised ribs and the rib cap corresponding to each adjacent raised rib. Two leverage wings may extend outward from the outer shell on opposing sides. A wire skirt may be overmolded around the open end of the outer shell, the wire skirt and plurality of rib caps formed of a material more flexible than a material used to form the outer shell. A wing rib may be overmolded onto a portion of the first side of each leverage wing. A base of the wire connector may include texture in the form of raised grip bumps of various shapes.

Solderless wire connector

An electrical outlet cover with a lid having an adjustable enclosure. The electrical outlet cover includes a base coupled to an electrical outlet and a hinged lid. The lid includes a frame with a central aperture and a telescoping enclosure with a flange at a front edge of a sleeve, the flange extending outward from the sleeve. The sleeve may include a ledge extending outward from the sleeve adjacent a back edge of the sleeve on at least two sides of the sleeve. The sleeve is slidably coupled within the central aperture and movable between an expanded position and a collapsed position. A front surface of the sleeve enclosure may include a window that extends forward of the sleeve walls and may further bulge forward of the front surface.

Configurable electrical outlet cover enclosure

A powered wall plate with a rear frame and a front cover plate. The rear frame is configured to couple with an electrical device and may have a rear frame central aperture extending through the rear frame, terminal connectors extending away from the rear frame adjacent to the rear frame central aperture and configured to electrically couple with the electrical terminals on the electrical device, an electrical circuit electrically coupled to the terminal connectors and configured to power an electrical feature in the powered wall plate, and a screw aperture configured to receive a screw and couple the rear frame to the electrical device. The front cover plate is configured to attach to the rear frame and cover the rear frame and the screw aperture. The front cover plate has a front cover central aperture that is configured to align with the rear frame central aperture.

Two-part powered electrical wall plate

A tamper resistant nightlight comprising a body and a housing. The body may comprise a base, a cover coupled to the base, and at least one circuit located between the base and the cover. The base is configured to be disposed over a face of an electrical outlet. The at least one circuit comprises at least one light. The body may also comprise a plurality of plug apertures extending through the cover and through the base. The plurality of plug apertures is configured to align with an electrical receptacle on the electrical outlet. The housing is coupled to the body and comprises a locking element configured to restrict a child from removing the tamper resistant nightlight from the electrical outlet. The locking element may be configured as a flange that extends away from the body and behind a rear surface of an electrical wall plate associated with the electrical outlet.

Tamper resistant nightlight

A powered wall plate may include a face plate comprising an opening extending through the face plate from the first surface to the rear surface. A first keyed interface may be formed at the rear surface of the face plate. An electrical receptacle may comprise a second keyed interface configured to be coupled with the first keyed interface, the electrical receptacle further comprising terminals disposed on sides of the electrical receptacle. Spring-biased terminals may be coupled to the face plate and coupled with the terminals. A powered feature may be coupled to the face plate and configured to be electrically coupled to the electrical receptacle through the spring-biased terminals when the first keyed interface and the second keyed interface are mateably coupled. Power may not be supplied from the electrical receptacle to the powered feature when the first keyed interface is not mateably coupled with the second keyed interface.

A tamper resistant nightlight for placement in an electrical receptacle, the nightlight includes a body that has a base with an LED circuit and plug blades extending from the body. A housing includes a locking element configured to restrict a child from removing the nightlight from the electrical receptacle through a flange that extends away from the body to be positioned behind a rear surface of an electrical wall plate associated with the electrical receptacle to prevent the tamper resistant nightlight from being removed from the electrical receptacle while the electrical wall plate is coupled to the electrical receptacle.

Tamper-resistant nightlight with touch-sensitive surface

An extendable electrical outlet enclosure with a tubular main body, a bezel, a cap, at least one extension tube, and a back plate. The tubular main body has a first end, a second end, and a wall extending between the first end and second end. The tubular main body also has an electrical device support that extends inward from the wall and defines a separation between an electrical plug section and a wiring section. The bezel surrounds an opening in the main body at the first end and allows the cap to removably mount to the electrical enclosure. The at least one extension tube attaches to the tubular main body at the second end and has a leading end, a trailing end, and an outer wall extending between the leading end and the trailing end. The back plate couples with the at least one extension tube at the trailing end.

Extendable electrical outlet enclosure

A cord protector with an elongated body and a coupler that joins the elongated body to an adjacent elongated body to form an elongated cord protector system. The elongated body has a base and a lid. The base has a channel extending between a first end and a second end. The base also has ridges that extend into the channel, a cavity configured to mate with the coupler, and a central pillar that extends from the floor into the channel along a majority of the channel. The lid is configured to be inserted into the channel. The lid has two grooves that are sized and shaped to receive one of the ridges. The lid also has a slot configured to receive the top of the central pillar when the lid is inserted into the channel. The central pillar supports the lid when the lid is inserted into the channel.

Expandable cord protector

An electrical outlet cover with a lid having an adjustable enclosure. The electrical outlet cover includes a base coupled to an electrical outlet and a hinged lid. The lid includes a frame with a central aperture and a gasket with a sealing edge surrounding the central aperture. The enclosure is slidably coupled to the lid within the central aperture and is configured to move between a collapsed position and an extended position. The enclosure has a front wall, a side wall extending rearward from the front wall, and a ledge extending outward from the side wall. The side wall of the enclosure has a first groove and a second groove. When the enclosure is in the collapsed position, the sealing edge of the gasket is in the first groove and when the enclosure is in the extended position, the sealing edge of the gasket is in the second groove.

A wire connector that has a body with a closed end and an open end, a wire cavity within the open end, and a plurality of grip assemblies positioned around the body. The wire cavity is configured to rotatably couple to one or more wires. Each of the grip assemblies may have a raised rib extending between the closed end and the open end, a groove extending into the raised rib, and a rib cap shaped and positioned to cover the raised rib and extend into the groove. A first end of the rib cap may be adjacent the open end of the body and a second end of the rib cap may be adjacent the closed end of the body. The second end of the rib cap of each grip assembly may be joined to an end cap positioned to cover the closed end of the body.
