A metered dispenser includes a housing including a reciprocable piston drive stem including an inlet opening at a first end thereof, a floating piston at a second end, and a passage between the first and second ends. An inlet valve is provided adjacent the first end for permitting entry of liquid product into the passage. A biased cocking mechanism is reciprocally disposed substantially within the housing. A biased loading mechanism is movable in a second generally opposite direction by the cocking mechanism, and is engageable with the piston drive stem to move the drive stem in the second direction. When the cocking mechanism is moved from an initial rest position toward the second direction, a series of operations allow the loading mechanism to project the drive stem in the first direction to dispense a metered dose of liquid product through a discharge orifice provided adjacent the second end.

A child resistant safety cap device for applicator tubes includes a base element, a cap, at least one keyway latching system, and at least one spring. The base element has a top and a sidewall, and has a container tube attachment mechanism located under the top that is adapted to affix the base element to a container tube. The top has a content outlet and an elongated applicator nozzle at the content outlet that extends upwardly therefrom. The cap is adapted to fit onto the base element. It has an upper portion with a top and a sidewall and a lower portion with a downward extension of the sidewall. The upper portion includes an applicator nozzle sealing mechanism to seal the applicator nozzle when the cap is in a closed position. There is at least one keyway latching system that includes a track having a downward entry section and an upward locking section, and includes a track rider corresponding to the track. One of the track and the track rider is located on the outside of the base element sidewall and the other is located on the inside of the cap lower portion sidewall, and they are positioned relative to one another to operate cooperatively. A spring biases the cap upwardly when closed.

A child resistant container for stick applicators is described that is directed to keeping children out of the container prior to use, and to secure the container and its contents after use. In one embodiment, the container includes a combination cap and plug. The plug has a first and a second position relative to the cap, and the cap is not removable when the plug is in its first position and pulled, and is removable when the plug is in its second position and pulled. In another embodiment, a plug cap cannot be removed from the container unless a bottom cap is rotated to a go radial position and pushed in. When it is pushed into the tube container, the applicator functions as a push rod to open the top cap. The used applicator may be reinserted in an altered orientation, e.g., shortened or turned upside down and inserted, with the bottom cap pushed in, and the top cap reinserted into the top, access to the used applicator is inhibited.

A child resistant multiple dosage blister pack dispenser includes a main housing bottom component having walls and a bottom panel for supporting a blister pack, a middle component, and a main top component. The bottom panel has a plurality of rows of orifices located so as to position a blister pack thereabove, with individual dosages of the blister pack located above the orifices, so that individual dosages are pushed therethrough from the blister pack. The main housing top component is connected to the middle component and is laterally moveable. It has a first position, being a rest position, and a second position, being a dispensing position. There is a biasing spring connected to at least one of the components, that biases the top component relative to the middle component so that the top component is in its first position. There are a plurality of push tabs located on the top component for dispensing in a second position. The middle component may be unlocked and moved into new positions sequentially so that the push tabs are operated on subsequent rows of medication dosages.

A metered dose dispensing dabber device includes a dabber main housing having a container attachment for affixing the device to a container, a metered dosage reservoir, a hollow dip tube, a metered dosage reservoir outlet, and a valve. The main housing has a base divider wall, this base divider wall having an underside and top side. Further, the base divider wail is closed to prevent liquid from passing from the underside to the top side. The metered dosage reservoir has enclosed walls and is located above the top side of the divider wall. The hollow dip tube passes through the base divider wall and extends downwardly therefrom for insertion into a container. The dip tube also extends upwardly to a predetermined height in the metered dosage reservoir to establish a fill level. The metered dosage reservoir outlet is located on a metered dosage reservoir wall opposite the dip tube. The valve is located in the reservoir outlet, in proximity to the dip tube. The valve has a first position wherein the reservoir outlet is closed and the dip tube is open, and has a second position wherein the reservoir outlet is open and the dip tube is closed. The device is attached to a container. A user squeezes a container to fill the reservoir to the dip tube height, inverts and presses to release (dab) the metered dosage.

A child resistant multiple dosage blister pack dispenser includes a main housing bottom component having walls and a bottom panel for supporting a blister pack, and a main top component. The bottom panel has a plurality of orifices located so as to position a blister pack thereabove, with individual dosages of the blister pack located above the orifices. These orifices are of sufficient size and shape to push individual dosages from the blister pack therethrough. The main housing top component is permanently connected to the bottom component and is laterally moveable relative to the bottom component. The top component has a first position, being a rest position, and having a second position, being a dispensing position. There is a biasing spring connected to at least one of the bottom component and the top component, that biases the top component relative to the bottom component so that the top component is in its first position. There are a plurality of push tabs located on the top component in an array corresponding to the plurality of orifices on the bottom component. These plurality of push tabs are not located above the orifices or the individual dosages when the top component is in its first position. Further, the plurality of push tabs are located above the individual dosages and the bottom component orifices for pushing dosage from the blister pack therethrough when the top component is in its second position.

A child resistant overcap and container device is specifically for containers having non-round bodies, at least non-round upper bodies, with round necks, especially oval shaped containers. The container has a round neck for attachment of an inner cap. The shape of the container is such that it is wider than it is deep, to create side to side shoulders. There is also a collar permanently attached to the neck that has an open, central circular portion and a pair of opposite shoulders extending outwardly from side to side above the shoulders of the container. The collar has either at least one J-slot or at least one J-slot tracking protrusion located on at least one of its front and back. There is also an overcap having a front and back and opposing sides, and having a hollow inside. The overcap has an outside footprint substantially corresponding to the footprint of the container. The overcap, relative to the collar, has the other of at least one J-slot and at least one J-slot tracking protrusion located in at least one of the front and the back, corresponding to the collar.

The present invention relates to a child resistant, disposable, premeasured dosage spoon. It includes a bowl portion having a premeasured dosage volume bowl, a front end for oral insertion, a back end. It also includes a handle portion having a front end and a back end, wherein the back end is hingedly connected to the back end of the bowl portion and folds over onto said bowl portion to reduce the overall length of the spoon. There is also a child resistant mechanism having a male segment and a female segment adapted to interlock with one another, and adapted to require at least a two step movement for release of interlock with one another. One of the male segment and the female segment is located on the front of said bowl portion and the other of said male segment and said female segment being located on said front of said bowl portion and the other is located on the front end of the handle portion so as to enable them to interlock when the handle portion is folded over onto the bowl portion. There is a seal and pull tab in some preferred embodiments.

The present invention is an invertible eye drop dispenser device, alone, and in conjunction with an eye drop dispenser container having a threaded neck. The device includes a hollow, circular base portion with a bottom end and a top end. The bottom end has a first set of internal threads and the top end has a second set of internal threads, both being of the same thread gauge, to thread onto a neck of an eye drop dispenser container. The first set of internal threads and the second set of internal threads are inverted relative to one another, so that the device may be threaded with the bottom end threaded to a container or, so that, upon inversion, the device may be threaded with the top end threaded to a container. There is also an eye cup portion attached to the bottom end of the base portion.

The present invention is a child resistant safety container for a blister pack with a housing with an opening in which a drawer which contains the blister pack can be inserted. A latching mechanism is provided to engage and retain the drawer when inserted into the housing. The latching mechanism has cooperating male and female parts located on the drawer and the housing in positions complimentary to each other. The part located on the housing is functionally operable with a latching trigger slidably connected to the housing. Resilient living springs are provided to urge the drawer into latching engagement and, when the drawer is pushed in against the spring, moves to partially disengage the drawer. The latching trigger moves the latching mechanism into a second position fully disengaging the drawer for removal.

The present invention mechanically propelled, liquid metered dispenser includes a main housing with liquid storage and a liquid advancing component for either allowing liquid to flow out or assisting in the flow of liquid out of the main housing by exerting pressure, into a metered dosage dispensing chamber in response to a loading movement of a cocking mechanism. The chamber has an inlet connected to the main housing with a one-way valve to only permit flow of liquid into the chamber. The chamber also has an outlet orifice for dispensing liquid therefrom in a metered amount. The chamber has a reciprocal plunger and has a load and release component connected to it, which includes a cocking mechanism, a locking mechanism, and a spring. The cocking mechanism is functionally connected to the plunger so as to move in harmony therewith, or, more preferably, to move a relatively short distance relative to the distance traveled by the cocking mechanism.

The present invention relates to a metered, mechanically propelled, liquid dispenser. It has a main body cylinder having liquid and liquid advancing mechanism for advancing the liquid into a metered dosage dispensing chamber. There is a cocking mechanism which includes a lock pin, a stressed slot and a rest slot. When the cocking mechanism is locked, the advancing means is moved and liquid is ready for firing from the metered dosage dispensing chamber through a dispensing orifice. The cocking mechanism is slowly rotated while holding the main body cylinder vertically and the pin is manually moved into the rest slot thereby causing a plunger to be forced by a spring to push against a stop on a trigger which advances the trigger to rapidly force the liquid out of the metered dosage dispensing chamber through the dispensing orifice. The dispensing orifice includes a one-way valve which allows the liquid to be dispensed while preventing air from returning to the device.
