A novel rehydration beverage containing sodium chloride, sodium citrate and aspartame useful for rapid restoration of hydration homeostasis. The beverage is particularly useful for restoration of normal body fluid volumes and their intracellular and extracellular distribution during a hypohydration state observed in astronauts and air passengers.

Sweat collection capsule permitting quantitative collection of sweat, comprising a frame held immobile on the skin, a closure secured to the frame and absorbent material located next to the skin in a cavity formed by the frame and the closure. The absorbent material may be removed from the device by removing the closure from the frame while the frame is held immobile on the skin.

An improved thermistor holder structure is disclosed which facilitates skin-temperature measurement. The device includes a cylindrical plastic housing with tab extensions that permits the apparatus to be held to a skin surface by suitable elastic members or the like. Ventilation openings are provided in the plastic housing to permit air circulation. An adjustable, resilient metal arm with a thermistor holding cup formed at one end is secured to the interior surface of the plastic housing such that the holding cup is located at the center of the housing. A thermistor temperature sensor is inserted into and held in the cup by interference fit.
