A filter disposed at the distal end of an elongate guidewire. Catheters are provided for delivering the filter to, and retrieving the filter from, a treatment site. The catheters can be over-the-wire or single operator exchange. The catheters include a housing for receiving the filter therein. The housing has an atraumatic distal end.

Intravascular filter and method

An apparatus for reducing a medical device such as a stent in size is formed of cooperating crimping dies which are joined via a crimping die moving device. As the cooperating dies are moved together, an inward force is applied to the medical device to reduce the medical device in size.

Stent crimping system

A hub assembly for a catheter tube having a lumen therethrough. The hub assembly includes a hub portion having a proximal end and a distal end, and an integral connector disposed at the proximal end. A lumen is defined through the hub portion extending from the proximal end to the distal end. The strain relief includes a proximal end and a distal end is disposed at the distal end of the hub portion. The proximal end of the strain relief can be integrally connected to the distal end of the hub portion. The strain relief is preferably more flexible than the hub portion. The strain relief defines a passage configured to receive the catheter such that a lumen through the hub portion is in fluid communication with the catheter tube lumen.

An intravenous drip rate control device includes a control valve having horizontally oriented valve members each provided with valve elements arranged in interdigitating relation with respect to each other. A drip rate sensor senses each intravenous drip and produces an electrical signal in response to each drip. A microprocessor unit compares the sensed drip rate to a preset drip rate and controls operation of an actuating unit which causes one of the valve members to shift toward and away from the other valve member. When one of the valve members is shifted toward the other valve member, a horizontal portion of the drip tube is progressively stretched to narrow the opening through the stretched portion of the tube and thereby reduce the drip rate. When the valve member is shifted away from the other valve member, the tension on the stretched portion of the tube will be progressively released, thereby increasing the opening in the tube and increasing the drip rate.
