The subject matter of the present invention is a motor vehicle door lock, in particular tailgate lock, which is provided with a locking mechanism () essentially consisting of a rotary latch () and a pawl (). Furthermore, as required, an unlocking/opening actuator () as well as a locking actuator () may be realised. In addition at least one sensor () assigned to the locking actuator () is provided. According to the invention the sensor () is arranged at a distance from a locking mechanism plane protected in the lock interior, and is impacted by means of an actuating element () following the locking actuator ().

Vehicle door lock, especially tailgate lock

A latching device for automotive applications, in particular a backrest latch for the bolting and unbolting of seat backrests in motor vehicles, with a locking mechanism fundamentally comprising a catch and at least one pawl, and with a manually and/or mechanically impingeable unbolting element for the locking mechanism, wherein the unbolting element is a component of an exchangeable unbolting module which defines a latch casing together with a basic module incorporating the locking mechanism is proposed. A latching device where only the unbolting module is adapted to the specific purpose of use is provided, considerably reducing manufacturing, installation and warehousing costs.

Latching device

A housing for use in motor vehicles, in particular a motor vehicle latch housing. The basic structure of said housing comprises a connecting region and a seal that surrounds the connecting region, and a connecting element that is connected to the housing interior by means of the connecting region. According to the invention, the seal is formed as a sealing grommet that engages over the connecting region and can connect to the housing.

Housing for use in motor vehicles

A motor-vehicle door latch has a housing, a fork pivotal on the housing between a bolt-retaining closed position and a bolt-releasing open position, and a pawl pivotal on the housing between a blocking position engaging the fork and retaining it in the closed position and a freeing position allowing the fork to move into the open position. A wheel rotatable about a wheel axis has a radially directed cam surface engageable with the pawl. A drive rotates the wheel and thereby engages the surface with the pawl to displace the pawl into its freeing position. Interengaging formations on the pawl and on the wheel block rotation of the wheel when the pawl is in the freeing position.
