A scraping device has a scissor-like construction with two blades. Each blade can extend in a same plane as handle of the device. One of the blades is more dull than the other, the dull blade adapted to abut a part of the human body without causing any permanent physical change thereto, and the other being sharper than the dull blade which is designed to cut or remove part of the body. In some embodiments, one or both blades are rotatable in a plane which is normal to the direction of rotation of the handles relative to each other. In other embodiments, the blades are fixed at an angle relative to the handles and/or direction of movement of the handles. The dull blade may be inline with the handles while the sharp blade and/or cutting edge of the sharp blade is out of line therewith.

This invention is an interchangeable hand tool device for surgical and other applications. The device includes an adjustable, interchangeable first jaw; an adjustable, interchangeable second jaw; a base to which the first and second jaws are attached; a central pivot about which one or both jaws can rotate; an interchangeable first handle connected to the base; an interchangeable second handle connected to the base.

Interchangeable hand tool

There is provided a portable riser having an operator actuated lifting assist assembly operatively coupled to a riser deck. In one aspect, there is a first pivot mechanism coupled to a first support leg and adapted to initiate upward movement of the portable riser from a collapsed position when a downward force is applied to the first support leg, and a second pivot mechanism coupled to a second support leg and adapted to continue the upward movement. The lifting assist assembly provides a lifting force that continues upward movement to an upright position where the portable riser in locked. There is included a riser unlocking means for unlocking the lifting assist assembly. The portable riser remains in the upright position until the riser unlocking means is operated and a collapsing force is applied to the portable riser sufficient to overcome the lifting force and enable collapsed of the portable riser.

There is provided an apparatus for a folding table assembly comprising a lifting assist center torsion bar assembly, a lift off caster assembly and a stability locking mechanism. A folding table assembly with a lifting assist mechanism provides a lifting assist force during a portion of the folding process of a foldable table from an unfolded use position to a folded storage position. A lift off caster assembly maintains an unfolded table assembly in a stationary position and prevents the unfolded table from wandering or deviating from its original location on the floor. There is also provided a stability locking mechanism that can set the folding table in a folded and stable semi-closed position.

Mobile folding table having a lifting assist center torsion bar and lift off casters

A hydraulic shear for bar stock including a die housing constructed so that the forces produced by the shearing operation are absorbed by interlocking joints. The structure assures that there are no welded or bolted joints in the die housing in a position to receive the stresses resulting from the shearing operation. The shear comprises a three bolster arrangement wherein a hydraulic cylinder is positioned between a first end bolster and a center bolster and fitted into recesses provided in such bolsters. The die housing is positioned between the center bolster and the other end bolster and similarly fitted into recesses provided in those bolsters. Top and bottom plates are recessed and interfitted over the die retainer end plates to provide an interlocking construction eliminating the need for bolts and welds in the die housing. Such arrangement not only provides a strong stable unit, but also allows efficient access to the dies, such as for die changes.
