The present invention provides methods for cleaning a Protein A chromatography column employing a media comprising a Protein A ligand derived from the C domain of, such that the column can be cleaned using both acidic and alkaline solutions.

Methods of cleaning a protein A based affinity chromatography column

The present invention uses a wireless memory/communication device at least on the one or more sample storage devices, preferably on both the one or more sample storage devices and the sampling holder, optionally the port on the equipment as well. Data such as that relating to the vessel, the location of the port on the vessel, the device, its manufacture date or lot number, the date of the installation, sterilization and/or taking of a sample along with the person who installed the device and/or took the sample can be read and preferably added to the wireless device when a read/write type of device as these events occur through a scanner/reader/writer device (fixed or hand held). The sample storage device in the laboratory can also then be read and recorded to track the sample storage device's life.

Sampling system

The present invention relates, at least in part, to improved methods of protein purification. In particular, the present invention relates, at least in part, to methods for purifying an Fc region containing protein from a composition comprising the Fc region containing protein and one or more impurities, where the methods eliminate the need for a holding tank and/or a buffer exchange step.

Methods for purifying a target protein from one or more impurities in a sample

The present invention describes a system and method for accurately measuring the pressure within a filter housing. A pressure sensor and a communications device are coupled so as to be able to measure and transmit the pressure within the filter housing while in use. This system can comprise a single component, integrating both the communication device and the pressure sensor. Alternatively, the system can comprise separate sensor and transmitter components, in communication with one another. In yet another embodiment, a storage element can be added to the system, thereby allowing the device to store a set of pressure values. The use of this device is beneficial to many applications. For example, the ability to read pressure values in situ allows integrity tests to be performed without additional equipment. In addition, integrity testing for individual filters within multi-filter configurations is possible.

The present invention uses one or more bags that are capable of being selectively pressurized and deflated in conjunction with a disposable bio bag such as a fermenter, mixing bag, storage bag and the like. The pressure bag(s) may surround a selected outer portion of the bag or may be contained within an inner portion of such a bag. By selectively pressurizing and deflating the pressure bag(s), one is able to achieve fluid motion in the bag thereby ensuring cell suspension, mixing and gas transfer within the bag without damaging shear forces or foam generation.

Disposable mixing system

The present invention provides a support system () for biobags () or disposable manufacturing components that uses one or more channels () filled with one or more types and/or sizes of media (). The media () is fluid at atmospheric pressure but becomes rigid when under less than atmospheric conditions. The channels () conform to one or more edges and/or surfaces of the support and preferably one or more transverse ribs () connect them together. A vacuum is applied to the media () in the channels removing the air, compacting the media together and rendering the media in the channel(s) rigid and self-supporting. Supports can be designed as part of the disposable biobag () or as a separate item which surrounds at least a portion of the biobag.

Bag support system

A masking tape for EMI shielding applications comprising an adhesive layer, a metal foil layer adhered to the top of the adhesive layer, two or more adhesive strips running parallel to the edges of the tape and extending the length of the foil along the strips are preferably inset from the outer edges of the foil so as to form a stepped or notch-like configuration. A mask layer is attached to the top of the strips. The mask alone or the mask and strips are designed to be removed after use. The tape is applied to a substrate such as a computer cabinet, the cabinet is then sprayed with a paint or finish coat and the mask is removed to reveal a conductive metal foil surface to which a conductive EMI shield can be mounted.
