A pressure sensor manifold is provided that resolves issues caused by accumulated particles and bubbles to improve print head performance. The pressure sensor manifold includes a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, and a dome-shape cavity connecting with both the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet. The fluid inlet has a first interior cross-section, and the fluid outlet has a second interior cross-section. The dome-shape cavity has an apex. A line that is tangential to the apex passes through a plurality of points on both the first interior cross-section of the fluid inlet and the second interior cross-section of the fluid outlet.

A fluid dispenser apparatus includes a fluid dispenser having plurality of nozzles aligned in a first longitudinal direction. A dispenser shield is positioned relative to the plurality of nozzles, the dispenser shield configured to form an aperture aligned in the first longitudinal direction with the plurality of nozzles. The plurality of nozzles are configured to dispense fluid towards a substrate. The dispenser shield is further positioned such that fluid dispensed from a first subset of the plurality of nozzles passes through the aperture while fluid dispensed from a second subset of the plurality nozzles is captured by the dispenser shield.

In one embodiment, the present invention includes an apparatus for contacting a plurality of contact locations of a semiconductor device. The apparatus includes a housing, a support member, a plurality of probe members, and an adhesive substance. The housing has a plurality of apertures that provides a low leakage pathway for high frequency signals to reach the semiconductor device through the plurality of probe members. The plurality of probe members are aligned on the support member and the adhesive substance secures the plurality of probe members to the supporting member. The housing, supporting member, and adhesive substance match in thermal expansion to reduce the error in alignment between the plurality of contact locations and the plurality of probe members over a temperature variance.

An antenna system (20) in transponder article surveillance and identification system (10) employs a separate interrogating transmitting antenna (31) and interrogating receiving antenna (41) both of which are circularly polarized in opposite hand senses whereby very little of a transmitted electromagnetic interrogation signal is coupled to the interrogation receiving antenna (41) and reflections from nearby surfaces are transparent, significantly improving system performance. Interrogating transmitting antenna (31) and interrogating receiving antenna (41) are cavity-backed, crossed-dipole-fed antennas producing a substantially hemispherical radiation pattern. Transponder (11) is mounted together with a dipole antenna (50) on a tag (13) carried on each article to be identified. Dipole antenna (50) includes two substantially paddle-shaped radiating members (52,53) formed upon a substrate (54), each paddle-shaped radiating member (52, 53) having an end centrally disposed on substrate (54) terminating at an angle whereby the impedance of dipole antenna (50) substantially matches the impedance of the transponder (12) in electrical connection therewith.

Surveillance and identification system antennas

An alarm system (10) for detecting unauthorized intrusion into a vehicle and determining the location of such vehicle includes a vehicle alarm (11) and one or more networks (12, 13, 14) for receiving the output signal from vehicle alarm (11). Vehicle alarm (11) includes a transmitter (40) for broadcasting a low frequency modulated radio frequency alarm signal at the citizen band distress frequency and a control unit (25) for selectively activating the alarm upon a drop in the voltage magnitude of the vehicle power supply (27) induced by an unauthorized intrusion. Networks (12, 13, 14) respectively include citizen band radio detectors (15), mobile dedicated alarm detectors (16), and fixed dedicated alarm detectors (17) accompanied by a display unit (18).

Intrusion alarm system for vehicles

Brain wave patterns associated with relaxed and meditative states in a subject are gradually induced without deleterious chemical or neurological side effects. A white noise generator (11) has the spectral noise density of its output signal modulated in a manner similar to the brain wave patterns by a switching transistor (18) within a spectrum modulator (12). The modulated white noise signal is amplified by output amplifier (13) and converted to an audio signal by acoustic transducer (14). Ramp generator (16) gradually increases the voltage received by and resultant output frequency of voltage controlled oscillator (17) whereby switching transistor (18) periodically shunts the high frequency components of the white noise signal to ground.

Device for the induction of specific brain wave patterns

A speech analyzer is provided for determining the emotional state of a person by analyzing pitch or frequency perturbations in the speech pattern. The analyzer determines null points or 'flat' spots in a FM demodulated speech signal and it produces an output indicative of the nulls. The output can be analyzed by the operator of the device to determine the emotional state of the person whose speech pattern is being monitored.

A speech analyzer is provided for determining the emotional state of a person by analyzing pitch or frequency perturbations in the speech pattern. The analzyer determines null points or 'flat' spots in an FM demodulated speech signal and produces a first output indicative of the nulls and a second output indicative of the presence of a 'word.' A pitch frequency processor receives the FM demodulated speech signal and the first output of the detector means and produces an output having an amplitude proportional to the frequency of the speech signal at the null. A pitch null duration processor receives the first output of the detector means and produces an output having an amplitude proportional to the duration of the nulls. A ratio processor receives the first and second outputs of the detector means and produces an output proportional to the ratio of the total duration of all the nulls within a word to the total duration of the word. The outputs of the pitch frequency processor, pitch null duration processor and ratio processor can be used to provide an indication of the emotional state of the individual whose speech is being analyzed.
