A device, method, and system for generating electric power and desalinating seawater, combining concentrated solar energy with one-or-more cogeneration alternatives; utilizing seawater as a working fluid. An inclined Fresnel-mirror-system of east-west primary axis, and site-latitude justification, is utilized to reflect the sun's incidental irradiance to a central receiving tube, and raising temperature of working-fluid therein, producing dry saturated, or wet steam, whereby resultant energy turns a rotary-screw-expander engine, providing mechanical power, thence turning a generator; producing electric power. Heat recovered in the working-fluid is utilized in seawater desalination using a Multi-Effect-Distillation system, whereby, during non-solar-dependent productive hours, a molten-salts Single-Temperature-Thermal-Energy storage system is utilized as a battery. Waste heat from industry, renewable, and conventional power systems, is recycled to generate electrical power utilizing an organ fluid in a rotary-screw-expander engine arrangement, within an Organic Rankine-Cycle process, and desalinate seawater, accordingly.

The septic overflow warning system includes a sensor unit that is adapted to secure itself to a tank lip of a septic tank. The sensor unit includes a float that is adapted to be moved up or down depending upon the waste level inside of the septic tank. Moreover, the float is slideably positioned on a sensor rod that is in wired connection with an alarm module. The alarm module includes a plurality of lights thereon. The plurality of lights collectively indicates the status of the volume of the septic tank via the float. The alarm module is powered via at least one solar cell.

An integrated circuit is provided, which includes a transistor device under test, an AC drive circuit, an AC bias circuit and a DC bias circuit. The AC drive circuit generates an AC drive signal. A switch circuit selectively couples the transistor device to the AC bias circuit in an AC stress mode and to the DC bias circuit in a DC measurement mode.

An ESD protection system that makes use of several different types of over-voltage protection devices provides ESD conduction paths between different power lines. For example, the system may employ shunt diodes between the ground lines of the different power supplies and between IC pads and power supply lines; SCR protection between IC pads and ground; and thick field device protection between different power supply V lines. In this way, a conduction path for an ESD event between two circuit elements may be implemented using the device whose switching characteristics are best suited to that application.

An attachment for a golf bag which achieves a balancing of the bag when longer clubs are being carried. The attachment includes a belt element which is wrapped around the top of a golf bag. A method for fabricating a semiconductor device in a substrate. Active regions are defined within the substrate using a thin oxide layer and a silicon nitride layer with portions of the silicon nitride layer being etched away to expose the thin oxide layer. Field oxide regions are formed over regions other than the defined active regions. These field oxide regions are located between the active regions. The remaining portions of the silicon nitride layer and the thin oxide layer are removed and a sacrificial oxide layer is then grown on the surfaces of the active regions. A first mask, a N-well mask, is formed for implanting N-type dopants. A buried layer implanted using P-type dopants with the first mask in place. Thereafter, the N-well regions are implanted. The first mask is removed and a second mask is formed to define regions for implanting P-well regions using P-type dopants. The P-well regions are implanted using P-type dopants.

An integrated circuit formed on a semiconductor substrate has a contact pad for communicating signals between an external device and an internal signal line. The pad is protected by an SCR that conducts electrostatic discharge pulses from the pad directly to a current sink. The SCR includes a subregion underneath a field oxide that has a field inplant that increases the dopant concentration. The field implant lowers the SCR trigger voltage, so that SCR triggers before an ESD pulse can cause latch-up or damage in other devices in the integrated circuit.

A field effect transistor with improved electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection has a source, a channel underlying a gate electrode and a drain. The drain includes a lightly doped ballast resistor extending across the width of the drain and separating two other drain sub-regions. One drain sub-region is located between the ballast resistor and the channel, the other drain sub-region is opposite the resistor and connected to an exterior device. The ballast resistor laterally distributes current along the width of the drain during an ESD pulse, which reduces local peak current density and reduces damage.
