Transport brackets are welded onto the top surface of the mower deck, each transport bracket having vertical plates with holes extending transversely through the plates. Pins extend through at least one hole in the plates and are secured to a rear mounted hitch of a tractor. The mower deck may be lifted and transported in a raised position behind the tractor, and also may be pivoted to a position for servicing.

A speed control system for a utility vehicle, the vehicle having a forward-facing driving position and a rearward-facing seat, includes a creep control system for moving the utility vehicle, controlled from the rearward-facing seat. The vehicle includes a speed-controllable transmission operable to output power to drive a wheel. The vehicle includes a creep speed control actuator located adjacent to the rearward-facing seat and a creep speed control system operatively connected to the actuator and to the transmission. The system converts movement of the actuator to speed change of the transmission. The transmission can be a mechanically or electronically controlled hydrostatic transmission, or an electronically controlled reverser transmission.

A fluid cylinder mechanism couplable to a vehicle and having a piston slidable within the cylinder, a rod couplable to an implement and shiftable within an opening in the piston, the rod being adapted to shift vertically within the piston a an implement rides over ground undulations, and an abutment mechanism coupled to the rod for abutment with the piston when the piston shifts upwardly due to selective forcing of fluid into the rod end of the cylinder by the operator to transfer the weight of the implement to the vehicle or to lift the implement for transport.

An improved clamp arrangement for attaching a shank, particularly an S-tine shank, to a rectangular beam of an implement. A bracket is positioned against two adjacent faces of the beam and includes a formed end with a continuous transition zone which partially wraps around the front edge of the beam to prevent the clamp and shank from rotating horizontally. The formed end also provides increased depth of section to increase the bending strength of the bracket.
