A fitting for a fiber trough. The fitting includes a bottom cable support surface and a pair of opposite side walls extending from the bottom cable support surface that define a channel. The fitting is mounted to a fiber trough so that the channel is positioned within another channel defined by the fiber trough, isolating a cable routing path defined by the fitting channel from a cable routing path defined by the trough channel.

The present disclosure relates to a ferrule-less fiber optic connector including a connector body having a front end. The ferrule-less fiber optic connector can include a plurality of optical fibers that extend through the connector body. The optical fibers can have having free end portions at the front end of the connector body that are not supported by a ferrule or by ferrules. In one example, the ferrule-less fiber optic connector can be a duplex fiber optic connector. Transceiver modules and components are also disclosed.

A fiber optic connector includes a connector body housing a plurality of optical fibers. Each of the plurality of optical fibers includes a bare end having an angled face. Half of the plurality of optical fibers has an angled face that is at a first angle and the other half of the plurality of optical fibers has an angled face that is at a second angle that is different from the first angle. The fiber optic connector can comprise a ferrule-less or ferruled fiber optic connector.

A system including an overhead cable pathway structure and a cable storage device that mounts overhead to the cable pathway structure. The cable storage device including a storage spool and a cable pathway exit having a curved surface that guides excess cable exiting from the overhead cable pathway structure to the spool.

A patch panel includes a back plane having front mounted pairs of termination locations, and an interconnect location electrically connected to each pair of termination locations. The termination locations connect to two patch cords. The interconnect location defines an access device for selectively accessing the termination locations. An interconnect module interfaces with the interconnect location. The module can include test access, power over Ethernet, or circuit protection features.

A patch panel including a plurality of electrical connector assemblies, each of the electrical connector assemblies including a first jack presented on a first side of a panel frame of the patch panel and a second jack electrically linked to the first jack to form a jack pair and presented on a second side of the panel frame. Both the first jack and the second jack are presented at an angle with respect to the panel frame, and both the first jack and the second jack may be engaged using a patch cord. The first and second jack of each jack pair are at a 90-degree angle relative to one another.

The present disclosure relates to an insert for a jack. The insert includes a connector mount having a main body including a first side positioned opposite from a second side. The connector mount also includes a snap-fit connection structure positioned at the main body for securing the connector mount to the jack, a divider positioned at the first side of the main body, and an insulation displacement terminal housing positioned at the first side of the main body. A plurality of contact springs are separated by the divider, and a plurality of insulation displacement terminals are housed by the insulation displacement terminal housing. The insert further includes a circuit board that provides electrical connections between the insulation displacement terminals and the contact springs. The circuit board is mounted at the second side of the main body.

Telecommunications jack assembly

A telecommunications electrical connector positions the contacts in a manner to reduce crosstalk problems. An insert assembly positions the spring contacts within a jack for electrical contact with the contacts of a plug. The insert assembly staggers the relative positions of adjacent spring contacts in the y-direction, and staggers the spring contact pivot points in the x-direction, yet maintains a common contact region for all the spring contacts for contacting the contacts of the plug. The distal ends of alternating spring contacts are positioned so as to increase the isolation between adjacent springs. The insert assembly includes selected air passages between spring contacts mounted to the insert assembly to increase isolation and selected dielectric to increase crosstalk cancellation.

A cable management cabinet assembly for telecommunications equipment. The assembly includes a cabinet frame with sidewalls and vertical support members. A cable management bracket having an elongated member is fastened to the support members. A plurality of fingers project outwardly from the elongated member. The fingers are spaced apart along the length of the elongated member. Gaps sized to receive telecommunications cables are positioned between the fingers. Bend radius limiters are preferably connected to the fingers to prevent cables passing through the gaps from being bent beyond predetermined bend radius requirements. The bracket defines a vertical cable pathway between the side walls and the fingers for guiding cables within the cabinet.
