Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for converting digital rights management (DRM) data in a specific protocol to standardized DRM data. The standardized DRM data may be used to secure content delivered to user devices through a content delivery network. If a user device decides to record a content item, a request for authenticating entitlement to the content item may be sent to a network device and the network device may reply with an authentication receipt if appropriate. If the user device later decides to access the content item, the user device may send the authentication receipt back to the network server so that the network server may reply with a decryption key for decrypting the content item.

Digital rights management data conversion in a content delivery network

Methods and systems are described for using files or data (e.g., cookies) stored in network storage (e.g., the cloud) in lieu of files or data stored locally. A request for a plurality of files can be received from a device. The request can comprise a device identifier and a user identifier. The user identifier can be used to determine an associated account. A format for the requested plurality of files can be determined based on the device identifier. In an aspect, the device can have limited/no local persistent storage. Prior to transmission, the requested plurality of files can be formatted according to the determined format. For example, a user can access an HTML application from a device with limited/no local persistent storage, such as a set-top box. The device can request a plurality of files, such as cookies, from persistent storage. The persistent storage can be cloud storage.

Methods and systems for providing persistent storage

Systems and methods for managing a network are disclosed. A beacon may be transmitted at a first modulation rate less than a second modulation rate used to transmit data. A signal characteristic may be received from a user device. The user device may be connected to the network in response to the signal characteristic satisfying a threshold. Data may be transmitted to the user device at the second modulation rate.

Methods and systems for accessing content

Integrated devices that include a sample preparation component integrated with a detection component are disclosed. The sample preparation component may be a digital microfluidics module or a surface acoustic wave module which modules are used for combing a sample droplet with a reagent droplet and for performing additional sample preparation step leading to a droplet that contains beads/particles/labels that indicate presence or absence of an analyte of interest in the sample. The beads/particles/labels may be detected by moving the droplet to the detection component of the device, which detection component includes an array of wells.

Devices and methods for sample analysis

In accordance with one or more embodiments, aspects of the disclosure may provide efficient, effective, and convenient ways of managing network devices. In particular, a client router may connect to an upstream virtual gateway. The virtual gateway may manage a large number of client devices. Each client router may be represented virtually within the gateway as a virtual router. The virtual gateways may be distributed regionally, in order to manage large numbers of client routers and/or to reduce transmission delays. The virtual gateways may be managed by a gateway controller. The gateway controller may be centralized, and perform various configuration functions, such as configurations for hardware, logical networking, or content access policies. In some instances, messages sent between the gateway controller using a first protocol and the client router using a second protocol may be translated by a protocol agent.

Integrated devices that include a sample preparation component integrated with a detection component are disclosed. A user device may connect to a wireless network despite the user device lacking the correct network credentials to access the wireless network. When the user device is unable to connect to a first network due to an incorrect network credential, the user device may automatically connect to a second network to obtain the correct network credentials associated with the first network. The network credentials associated with the first network may enable the user device to then connect and/or reconnect to the first network.

Methods and systems for automatically connecting to a network

Versions of a service not reachable by a set of service requestors that use the service are removed. Multiple, different versions of a service are stored, along with metadata associated with the multiple, different versions of the service. The metadata is examined to determine one or more of the multiple, different versions of the service that are not reachable by the set of service requestors that use the service. Those versions are deleted.

Computer-implemented systems and methods for service provisioning

Methods and systems for accessing content are provided. A non-tunable device (e.g., a device without the capability to tune to a particular channel) can access a particular channel via a tunable device (e.g., a device with the capability to tune to the particular channel). A computing device can facilitate content tuning. In an aspect, the non-tunable device can transmit a request for content to the computing device. The request for content can comprise a title of the content, a type of content, channel information, and the like. Upon receiving the request for content, the computing device can determine the characteristics of the non-tunable device such as device type, device capabilities, location, and identify all the tunable devices capable of communicating with the non-tunable device. Entitlement information can be provided to the one or more tunable devices. The entitlement information can facilitate access to the requested content by the non-tunable device.

Systems and methods are described for connecting a user device to a wireless network despite the user device lacking the correct network credentials to access the wireless network. If the user device is unable to connect to a first network due to an incorrect network credential, the user device can automatically connect to a second network to obtain the correct network credentials associated with the first network. The network credentials associated with the first network can enable the user device to then connect and/or reconnect to the first network.

Avatars are used to graphically represent users in a communications session, and the avatars are capable of being animated. An indication of an animation of one of the avatars is received. Another avatar that represents another of the users is animated in response to, and based on, the animation of the avatar in the same communications session.

Some aspects as described herein are directed to mirroring, in upstream and/or downstream data traffic for a particular connection, markings of data packets (e.g., DSCP and/or other markings) that have been received in downstream data traffic for that same connection. A trusted device in the network may control the markings, rather than a less-trusted endpoint device and/or a less trusted software application operating in any device.
