Provided are therapies, including combination therapies, for the treatment of lung inflammation, including interstitial lung diseases (ILDs), which include the use of at least one histidyl-tRNA synthetase (HRS) polypeptide or an expressible polynucleotide that encodes the HRS polypeptide, alone or in combination with at least one immunomodulatory agent.

The HRS-Fc conjugates of the invention have improved controlled release properties, stability, half-life, and other pharmacokinetic and biological properties relative to corresponding, unmodified HRS polypeptides.

The invention provides improved methods for cell therapy. In particular, the invention provides therapeutic compositions of enhanced hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells having improved engraftment and homing properties, and methods of making the therapeutic compositions.
