A heavy load transport vehicle which has the ability of transforming from a flat-bed trailer into a multiple-automobile transporter, having a hydraulic-powered retractable upper deck; hydraulic-powered lift arms that are designed to allow the vehicle to transport wide loads and to be loaded from the side of the lower deck; a stabilizer system which minimizes or eliminates lateral movement of the vehicle during operation on the road; a truss assembly that is designed to synchronize the action of the hydraulic-powered lift arms; and a cable pulley system which assists in the raising of the front end of the upper deck.

Transformer trailer

A motor mounting arrangement requiring no bolts or other fasteners is disclosed in the form of a pair of mounting plates hinged at one end to the device to be powered by the motor. Each plate has a hinge-like deformation at one plate end for encircling a pivot pin fixed to the device and two contilevered locking tabs having their respective free ends extending in opposite directions and displaced from the plate. The motor base includes a plate having elongated apertures whereby the motor plate and two plates may be juxtaposed with one tab of each mounting plate extending through corresponding motor plate apertures, the motor and plate laterally shifted relative to the mounting plates and the other tabs passed through the other apertures. The article of equipment to be powered by the motor or similar device may include a driven shaft and the motor may be coupled to the driven shaft by a flexible endless coupler, such as a belt or chain, entrained respectively about the driven shaft and a shaft of the motor with the motor pivotably supported so that the weight of the motor maintains the member taut.

Holtless motor mounting arrangement with self tightening of drive belts

A one sided creep area farrowing crate fabricated principally from flat material, sheet metal, plastic, wood, etc., has a molded sow pen entrance door with integral rump guard and a longitudinal sheet metal barrier separating the sow pen from the litter creep area while allowing nursing due to the elevation of the sheet metal barrier above the floor surface. Adjacent pairs of farrowing crates may be arranged back to back so as to share a common sow pen wall. With this arrangement a significant floor space reduction is achieved and the mother sow is forced to lie always on the same one side when nursing. Other floor plans may accomplish the same space saving features with this one side creep area, such as the single sow system described herein, or the linear row (side exit) system.

Swine farrowing system

A flow enhancement device for suspension within the storage bins having gravity fed lower output openings is disclosed and includes a diverging upper portion for diverting downwardly moving material radially outwardly as that material moves downwardly along the upper portion along with a lower portion having side walls more vertically inclined than the diverging upper portion to create a low pressure shearing region through which the material may fall toward the outlet. The lower portion may be provided with a series of projections for both inducing a circumferential component to the material flow and moving the enhancement device somewhat so as to dislodge entrapped materials in the bin. And to cause the opening at the bin exit to remain at a low pressure and to be always opened to material flow.

Suspended hopper bin flow enhancer

A poultry feeder including a tubular feed drop adapted to be secured to a conveyor tube for discharging animal feed downwardly therethrough. A feed pan is spaced downwardly from the lower end of the feed drop. A hollow feed-flow control member is adjsutably mounted on the feed drop in telescopic relationship therewith and projectes downwardly therefrom. The feed-drop and control member have meshing opposed threads for supporting the control member on the feed-drop while enabling the elevation of the control member to be selectively adjusted in response to rotation thereof, whereby the feed-discharge gap between the lower end of the control member and the bottom wall of the pan can be infinitely adjusted over a selected range.
