A mobile device can be configured to connect to a telecommunications network via a wireless fidelity network device. The mobile device can register with a channel of a base station, which can indicate where the mobile device is located in relation to the base station. Additionally, the mobile device can communicate with other mobile devices via the wireless fidelity network device. In response to an indication that the mobile device is no longer connected to the wireless fidelity network device, notifications can be sent to the mobile device or other mobile devices regarding additional communication.

A method and system for administering a subjective listening test to remote users. A user can participate in a subjective listening test, such as an MOS listening test, over a telephone call. The telephone call is received and audio recordings are sequentially played over the telephone call. Quality ratings corresponding to the audio recordings are input by the user over the telephone call. The user can input digits corresponding to the quality ratings. This allows a user to take part in a subjective listening test without traveling to a lab.

Method and system for administering subjective listening test to remote users

This is a method for use in a teleconference that troubleshoots echo problems. After receiving a code to begin the troubleshooting process, all legs of the teleconference are muted except a test leg. That test leg is evaluated for echo. The process is repeated for each of the legs of the teleconference. After automatically measuring echo on all legs, results are reported to a moderator or host, who can take action such as muting all legs with echo, or discussing remedial action with each participant on a leg with echo.

Method for troubleshooting echo on teleconference bridge

For testing a network, a connection between an originating station and an answering station is established over the network. Signals are sent over the connection and if the signals are not correctly received through the connection, the connection is maintained and a message is sent to a monitoring station indicating that a defective connection has been detected.
