A carpet removal system for efficiently removing carpet from a floor. The carpet removal system includes a leverage member, an engaging member for engaging the carpet to be removed, and a connecting member connected between the leverage member and the engaging member. The leverage member is an elongate structure which allows for the connecting member to be attached at various locations for providing various leverage forces. The leverage member includes a footplate having a plurality of engaging teeth for engaging the flooring.

Carpet removal system

Disclosed are carpet stretching tools comprising a pair of laterally extending and parallel barbed bars including a lead-bar and a trail-bar, guide means permitting longitudinal movement between the barbed bars while maintaining them in parallelism, and force application means to forceably controllably move the carpet engageable barbed bars into proximity. Preferably, the guide means takes the form of slidably engaged collar and shank, and the force application means includes a longitudinally extending threaded stud firmly attached to one barbed bar and movably surrounded by the other barbed bar, and further includes a controllable handle. Loftily disposed guide shank and force application threaded stud might provide the sole connection between barbed bars to permit ancillary manual operations to be performed therebelow. The barbed bars might be of selectable lateral length appropriate to certain carpet stretching tasks.

Disclosed are wall stake structures adaptable for removably implanting into flat bed trailer and truck vehicles provided with a plurality of depending pockets; laterally extending sidewall paneling is supported by the upright wall stakes. Each wall stake comprises in dovetailed relationship: an implantable upright tubular primary member; and an upright secondary member cross-sectionally unitarily including a winged web, a transversely extending vertical-plate, and vertical guide-plates extending laterally in both directions from the vertical-plate. The laterally extending vehicle sidewall paneling is supported between the front-wall of the primary tubular member and the guide-plates of the secondary member. The secondary member at the winged web is tightly slidably surrounded by the post member to both strengthen the tubular post member and to define in conjunction therewith a vertical header bore to receive an end of a topbow canopy support. Alternate embodiments are described appropriate for supporting the upright terminal ends of two neighboring panels, for supporting an intermediate vertical notch of the same panel, for receiving a range of topbow and paneling cross-sectional sizes, and for meeting other exigiencies commonly confronting the drayman.

Wall stakes for vehicle sidewall paneling

A fitment for mounting on a vessel or tank constructed of reinforcing filaments such as glass or other fibers located in a resin matrix. The fitment includes a platform or top wall which is generally planar and has a pair of generally opposing rectilinear sides. The platform is adapted for supplying a fitting for a hose or nozzle which can be removably attached thereto. Two legs depend from the sides of the platform. A pipe also depends from the central portion of the platform. The ends of the pipe and legs are adapted for securement to the wall of a tank or vessel by bonding resin compatible with the resin of the fitment and the tank. The fitment is preferably constructed of layers of glass fiber reinforcing materials.

Assembly of a fiber reinforced resin tank includes joining a plurality of prefabricted arcuate wall panel sections by elongated joiner panels extending along the vertical seams between adjacent wall sections to form the perimeter of a cylindrical tank. The wall sections have a plurality of openings adjacent the vertical sides and the joiner panels have columns of transversely spaced pairs of protrusions for coupling with the openings in adjacent panel sections. The joiner panel is able to pass circumferential hoop stress from one panel section to an adjacent panel section by providing effective clamping between the two panels through the use of continuous filament and/or geometrically oriented glass or other fibers placed into a hooked shape so the fibers extend between each pair of spaced protrusions and curve into the protrusions so the fibers extend along the protrusions. Additionally, the wall sections include criss-crossing diagonal fibers so there are crossing fibers between the openings of the wall section and the vertical edge of the wall section thereby preventing a force applied by the protrusion in the opening from tearing the wall section.

Method of fabricating a tank by joining wall sections with fiber

Fiberglass tank and method for making the same

Disclosed are wall stake structures adaptable for removable insertion into flat bed trailer and truck vehicles provided with a plurality of depending pockets whereby drayage vehicle sidewall paneling is supported by intervening upright wall stakes. The wall stake comprises: an upright non-metallic semi-rigid post having a header and a foot insertable into a flat bed vehicle pocket; a plurality of tubular spacers each extending transversely forwardly of the post; and an upright guide-plate abutting the respective spacers and ultimately attached to the post, the guide-plate being transversely more resilient than is the post and also being liberally wider laterally to provide two transversely resilient channels for supporting sidewall paneling. The spacers preferably comprise a plurality of vertically separated distinct tubular bushings which are removably attached to the post and guide-plate thereby facilitating manipulation of the paneling and permitting use of different thickness paneling. At the upper end of the wall stake post is provision for a secure and reliable seat to permit engagement with a transversely extending topbow canopy support.
