Band filter for filtering a discrete time series signal

A method and system for removing ground clutter data from time series radar data are provided. The method comprises receiving the time series radar data, applying a clutter filter to the time series radar data to generate a filtered time series radar data, applying a discrete Fourier transform to the filtered time series radar data to generate a filtered frequency domain data, determining a filter bias for one or more filter biased frequency domain frequencies of the filtered frequency domain data based on a frequency response of the clutter filter, and correcting the filtered frequency domain data by adding the filter bias to the filtered frequency domain data at the one or more filter biased frequency domain frequencies to generate a filtered and bias corrected frequency domain data.

Frequency compensation for clutter filter bias to radar data

A method and system for removing ground clutter data from time series data are provided. The method comprises receiving first time series data, dividing the first time series data into a plurality of subsets of first time series data, applying a first regression filter to each respective subset first time series data of the plurality of subsets of first time series data to generate a plurality of regression filtered subsets of first time series data, and concatenating the plurality of regression filtered subsets of first time series data to generate a regression filtered first time series data.

Regression filter for radar data

A method for clutter filtering staggered pulse repetition time data signals is provided. The method comprises the steps of receiving a plurality of staggered pulse repetition time data signals. The data signals may comprise one or more desired signals and one or more clutter signals. The method further comprises separating the staggered pulse repetition time data signals into a first separated data sequence and a second separated data sequence. The first and second separated data sequences comprise equally spaced data samples. The method also comprises the step of filtering the one or more clutter signals from the first and second separated data sequences.

Method and apparatus for clutter filtering staggered pulse repetition time signals

A radar system determines the range and velocity of a target, such as an atmospheric structure. The radar system transfers a first series of pulses and a second series of pulses. The first series of pulses and the second series of pulses have orthogonal polarizations. The first series of pulses and the second series of pulses have a same pulse repetition time. The first series of pulses and the second series of pulses are offset by a time amount. The target reflects energy from the first series of pulses to generate a first series of echoes and reflects energy from the second series of pulses to generate a second series of echoes. The radar system processes the first series of echoes and the second series of echoes to determine the range and velocity of the target.
