A computer-implemented method for the creation of composite internet videos from streaming video feeds serving as an intermediary between an internet video user and a plurality of separate internet video sources. A user may invoke the service from a web page and fashion a composite video from a plurality of sources without copying or otherwise disturbing the source videos. The user's composite video is defined by an edit decision list (EDL) which specifies the location of the plurality of separate videos, the 'cut in' and 'cut out' locations within the separate videos where the composite video will transition between the separate videos, and an audio volume value associated with each video.

A process for compressing a two dimensional array of data including at least one array block having a plurality of block rows and a plurality of block columns of pixels, each pixel having at least one associated intensity value. The process includes generating a delta frame associated with a pair of the block columns, the delta frame having a plurality of delta rows and delta columns of delta bits, one of the delta rows being a highest order row; determining a number of duplicate rows of the delta rows, each of the duplicate rows forming an identical row byte value having delta bits which have a predetermined relationship with the delta bits of the highest order row; recording information indicative of the number of duplicate rows; and developing compressed data including the information indicative of the number of duplicate rows of the delta frame.

Skim encoding method for compression of a two dimensional array of data

A process is provided for documenting the contents of at least one version of a plurality of data products stored in a database, at least one of the products being a composite product having at least a portion of at least one of the data products included therein. The process includes the steps of: creating a state file to be associated with a version of a composite product to be created, the state file specifying a selected version of at least one selected data product to be used in creating the composite product; using the state file to access the selected version of the selected product from the database; creating the version of the composite product by including therein at least a portion of the selected version of the selected product; and generating a state history file associated with the version of the composite product, the state history file indicating that at least a portion of the selected version of the selected product is included within the version of the composite product. The documenting process also includes the steps of: assigning a product name to the composite product; storing the version of the composite product in the database; and storing the state history file in the database. The documenting further includes a step of assigning a version value to the version of the composite product.
