Disclosed herein is a method performed by an IOPS application function, AF, to provide a group communication service. The method comprises: establishing an IOPS MBMS bearer, the IOPS MBMS bearer being an MBMS bearer within a MBSFN area served by one or more radio access nodes that are operating in an IOPS mode of operation; discovering one or more UEs via an IOPS discovery procedure; sending to the one or more UEs, an MBMS bearer announcement for the IOPS MBMS bearer.

A network node for configuring resources for a short Physical Downlink Control Channel, sPDCCH, is provided. The network node includes processing circuitry configured to determine time resources for the sPDCCH based on at least one characteristic associated with transmission, and configure a wireless device using the time resources for the sPDCCH.

Dynamic short physical downlink control channel (sPDCCH) resources determination

Embodiments include methods performed by a V2X user equipment (UE) for service discovery from a V2X application server (AS). Such methods include sending, to a first address associated with the V2X AS, a first request for further address information associated with the V2X AS. Such methods include receiving, from the first address via unicast signaling, a first response including the requested further address information, which facilitates UE discovery of V2X services available via unicast communication between the V2X UE and a radio access network (RAN). Other embodiments include complementary methods performed by a V2X AS, as well as V2X UE and V2X AS apparatus configured to perform such methods.

Methods, apparatus, and computer-readable media for discovery of application server and/or services for V2X communications

A method, network node and wireless device for receiving and/or mapping a physical downlink control channel, PDCCH, to resource elements of a time-frequency grid are provided in which the PDCCH is mapped to resource elements of the time-frequency grid by configuring resource element groups, REGs, each REG spanning one orthogonal frequency division multiplex, OFDM, symbol, and the PDCCH being at least two OFDM symbols. In accordance with one embodiment, the method includes receiving the PDCCH from the network node on one of a plurality of sets of physical resource blocks, PRBs.

Short physical downlink control channel (sPDCCH) mapping design

A method in a network node for supporting a predetermined set of aggregation levels for configuration of a downlink control channel for one of a slot Transmission Time Interval (TTI) and a subslot TTI. The method includes determining an aggregation level to be monitored by a wireless device (WD) in a communication network; and determining a number of downlink control channel candidates for the WD to monitor within each of the one of the slot TTI and the subslot TTI, the number of downlink control channel candidates based upon the aggregation level. A wireless device and corresponding method for supporting a predetermined set of aggregation levels and for implementing at least one aggregation level and at least one downlink control channel candidate for configuration of a downlink control channel for one of a slot TTI and a subslot TTI are also provided.

Search space configuration for short transmission time interval

There is disclosed a method in a first network node operating in a split bearer environment, the first network node being communicatively connected with a second network node via an internode interface. The method comprises obtaining, by the first network node, expected queuing times of packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) packet data units (PDUs) at the first network node and at the second network node. The method comprises determining, by the first network node and according to the estimated expected queuing times, forwarding of a flow of PDCP PDUs destined for a User Equipment (UE).

Method, system and device for providing flow control in a split bearer environment

Short Control Channel Elements (SCCE) to Short Resource Element Groups (SREG) mapping for Short Physical Downlink Control Channel (SPDCCH) is provided. A User Equipment (UE) receives a communication from a base station; determines a mapping between one or more SCCE and corresponding SREG; and processes the communication based on the mapping. A base station determines a mapping between one or more SCCE and corresponding SREG for a communication to a UE and transmits a communication to the UE based on the mapping. In this way, the localized and distributed SCCE to SREG mapping for CRS-based SPDCCH is defined. Also, the SCCE to SREG mapping for 2 and 3 OFDM symbols DMRS-based SPDCCH is defined. For DMRS-based SPDCCH, a distributed configuration at SCCE level is defined. This may improve latency and can improve the average throughput of a communications system. Radio resource efficiency could be positively impacted by latency reductions.

A method of operating a first communication node includes receiving a communication at the first communication node from a second communication node, wherein the communication includes information bits in a plurality of information bit positions, determining, by the first communication node, a subset of the information bit positions of the communication that are punctured wherein the determining is performed based on detected or decoded control information, and responsive to determining the subset, reducing, by the first communication node, magnitudes of information bits in the subset of the information bit positions that are punctured.

Improving decoding by using known puncturing information

A network node, wireless device and methods for short transmission time interval, sTTI, resource allocation in a communication network are provided. The network node includes processing circuitry configured to determine a downlink control information, DCI, message. The DCI message includes a bit field of at least two bits. Each bit corresponds to a group of at least one short Control Channel Element, sCCE, of a configured sPDCCH region. The processing circuitry is configured to transmit the DCI message to a wireless device. The bit field indicates whether the group of at least one sCCE is used for data transmission to the wireless device.

Flexible short Transmission Time Interval (TTI) resource allocation

Embodiments include a method performed by a V2X user equipment (UE) for service discovery from a V2X application server (AS). The method includes sending, to a first address associated with the V2X AS, a first request for further address information associated with the V2X AS. The method also includes receiving, from the V2X AS via unicast signaling, a first response that includes the further address information associated with the V2X AS. The first request includes an identifier of the V2X UE but the first response does not include the identifier of the V2X UE. Other embodiments include complementary methods performed by a V2X AS, as well as V2X UE and V2X AS apparatus configured to perform such methods.

A network node, method and wireless device are provided. A network node for configuration of a downlink control channel for a short transmission time interval, sTTI, in a communication network is provided. The network node includes processing circuitry configured to assign a search space region to be monitored by a first wireless device in the communication network where the search space region includes a plurality of downlink control channel candidates associated with a plurality of aggregation levels. Each of the plurality of downlink control channel candidates have at least one corresponding short Control Channel Element, sCCE. The processing circuitry is further configured to transmit, to the first wireless device, a bitmap indicating at least one of the plurality of downlink control channel candidates for at least one aggregation level to monitor.

Assignment of short physical downlink control channel (sPDCCH) candidates for short transmission time interval (sTTI)

Systems and methods are described herein for scheduling multiple short Transmission Time Internal (sTTI) transmissions. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a network node of a wireless communication network for scheduling multiple sTTI transmissions comprises transmitting a control information message to a wireless device for two or more sTTI transmissions, wherein the control information message comprises scheduling information indicating two or more scheduled sTTIs for the two or more sTTI transmissions, respectively, and/or an indication of a timing for the two or more scheduled sTTIs for the two or more sTTI transmissions and/or an indication of a Demodulation Reference Signal (DMRS) configuration for the two or more scheduled sTTIs for the two or more sTTI transmissions. By using multi-sTTI scheduling, control signaling overhead is reduced.

Signaling of multiple short TTI transmissions

Examples disclosed herein include a method performed by a wireless device for transmitting a Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) protocol data unit (PDU). The method comprises selecting one or both of a first path and a second path for transmitting the PDU to a destination based on a comparison of a first delay on the first path and a second delay on the second path, wherein the first delay includes a queueing delay and/or a processing delay on the first path, and/or the second delay includes a queueing delay and/or a processing delay on the second path. If both the first path and the second path are selected, the method comprises using carrier aggregation (CA) or dual connectivity (DC) to send the PDU to the destination on the first path using a first carrier and sending a duplicate of the PDU to the destination on the second path using a second carrier.
