The present invention relates to herbicidal) active pyridyl-/pyrimidyl-pyrazine derivatives, as well as to processes and intermediates used for the preparation of such derivatives. The invention further extends to herbicidal compositions comprising such derivatives, as well as to the use of such compounds and compositions in controlling undesirable plant growth: in particular the use in controlling weeds, in crops of useful plants.

Pyrazine-4-carbamate or -urea derivatives as herbicides

The present invention relates to herbicidally active pyridyl-/pyrimidyl-pyrazine derivatives, as well as to processes and intermediates used for the preparation of such derivatives. The invention further extends to herbicidal compositions comprising such derivatives, as well as to the use of such compounds and compositions in controlling undesirable plant growth: in particular the use in controlling weeds, in crops of useful plants.

Herbicidally active pyridyl-/pyrimidyl-pyrazine derivatives

The present invention relates to herbicidally active pyridino-/pyrimidino-pyridine derivatives. The invention further provides processes and intermediates used for the preparation of such derivatives. The invention further extends to herbicidal compositions comprising such derivatives, as well as to the use of such compounds and compositions in controlling undesirable plant growth: in particular the use in controlling weeds, in crops of useful plants.

Herbicides

The present invention relates to herbicidally active pyridino-/pyrimidino-pyridine derivatives, as well as to processes and intermediates used for the preparation of such derivatives. The invention further extends to herbicidal compositions comprising such derivatives, as well as to the use of such compounds and compositions in controlling undesirable plant growth: in particular the use in controlling weeds, in crops of useful plants.

The naphthyridine derivatives of formula (I) a and method of combating or controlling phytopathogenic fungi which comprises applying the compounds of formula (I) to a plant, to a seed of a plant and to the locus of the plant.

A compound of formula (I) wherein G is either (i) or (ii), where Mor Mis bonded to A; n is 0 or 1; when G is (i), D is S, NR, CR&#x2550;CR, CR&#x2550;N, CR&#x2550;N(O), N&#x2550;CRor N(O)&#x2550;CR; when G is (ii), D is S or NR; E is N, N-oxide or CR; Mis OC(&#x2550;Y), N(R)C(&#x2550;Y), N&#x2550;C(OR), N&#x2550;C(SR) or N&#x2550;C(NRR) where O or N is the atom of attachment to the ring containing D and E; Mis N&#x2014;C(&#x2550;Y) where N is the atom of attachment to the ring containing D and E; Y is O, S or NR; J is N or CR; and A, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, Rand Rare each certain organic or inorganic groups. These compounds are useful in fungicidal, insecticidal, acaricidal, molluscicidal and hematicidal compositions.

A compound of formula (I), where A is optionally substituted alkylene, alkenylene, alkynylene, cycloalkylene, alkylenoxy, oxy(C )alkylene, alkylenthio, thio(C )alkylene, C alkylenamino, amino(C )alkylene, &lsqb;C alkyleneoxy(C )alkylene&rsqb;, &lsqb;C alkylenethio(C )alkylene&rsqb;, &lsqb; alkylenesulfinyl(C )alkylene&rsqb;, &lsqb;C alkylenesulfonyl(C )alkylene&rsqb; or &lsqb;C alkyleneamino(C )alkylene&rsqb;; provided that A is not CH or CH O; B is N,N-oxide or CR ; Y is O, S or NR ; Z is O, S or NR ; and R , R , R , R , R , R , R , R , R , R are specified radicals; compositions containing them; process for making them; and their use as insecticides or fungicides.

The compounds are useful as plant fungicides and for plant growth regulation.
