Technology is described for an electron gun driver including a half bridge driver circuit and a drive controller. The half bridge driver circuit includes a drive circuit configured to generate a grid drive voltage for a grid connection of an electron gun, and a cutoff circuit configured to generate a grid cutoff voltage for the grid connection of the electron gun, and a gate driver configured to switch between the grid drive voltage and the grid cutoff voltage. The drive controller is configured to generate a pulse input to the drive circuit and cutoff circuit and grid switching signals for the gate driver.

Electron gun driver

Some embodiments include a system comprising: an RF source configured to generate an RF signal; an RF frequency control circuit coupled to the RF source and configured to adjust a frequency of the RF signal; an accelerator structure configured to accelerate a particle beam in response to the RF signal; and control logic configured to: receive a plurality of settings over time for the RF source; adjust the RF signal in response to the settings; and adjust a setpoint of the RF frequency control circuit in response to the settings.

Configurable linear accelerator frequency control system and method

Some embodiments include a system comprising: a particle power source configured to generate a particle power signal; a radio frequency (RF) power source configured to generate an RF power signal; a particle source configured to generate a particle beam in response to the particle power signal; a RF source configured to generate an RF signal in response to the RF power signal; and an accelerator structure configured to accelerate the particle beam in response to the RF signal; wherein a timing of the RF power signal is different from a timing of the particle power signal.

Configurable linear accelerator

Some embodiments include a system comprising: a first control logic configured to receive a first trigger and generate a second trigger in response to the first trigger the second trigger having a delay relative to the first trigger of a configurable number of cycles of a counter of the first control logic; a second control logic configured to receive the second trigger and generate a third trigger in response to the second trigger the third trigger having a delay relative to the second trigger of a configurable number of cycles of a counter of the second control logic; and a third control logic configured to receive the second trigger and generate a fourth trigger in response to the second trigger the fourth trigger having a delay relative to the second trigger of a configurable number of cycles of a counter of the third control logic. A particle beam may be accelerated in response to the triggers.

Configurable linear accelerator trigger distribution system and method

A RF accelerator system includes an accelerator, a RF source coupled to the accelerator for providing RF power to the accelerator, a control for adjusting a frequency of the RF power provided by the RF source through a frequency range, and a sensor for sensing a response resulted from an operation of the accelerator based at least in part on the adjusted frequency of the RF power through the frequency range. A method of diagnosing a RF spectrum in an accelerator system includes providing RF power to an accelerator, adjusting a frequency of the RF power through a frequency range, and sensing a response resulted from an operation of the accelerator, the response being based at least in part on the adjusted frequency of the RF power through the frequency range.

On board diagnosis of RF spectra in accelerators

Multi-energy radiation sources comprising charged particle accelerators driven by power generators providing different RF powers to the accelerator, capable of interlaced operation, are disclosed. Automatic frequency control techniques are provided to match the frequency of RF power provided to the accelerator with the accelerator resonance frequency. In one example where the power generator is a mechanically tunable magnetron, an automatic frequency controller is provided to match the frequency of RF power pulses at one power to the accelerator resonance frequency when those RF power pulses are provided, and the magnetron is operated such that frequency shift in the magnetron at the other power at least partially matches the resonance frequency shift in the accelerator when those RF power pulses are provided. In other examples, when the power generator is a klystron or electrically tunable magnetron, separate automatic frequency controllers are provided for each RF power pulse. Methods and systems are disclosed.

Interlaced multi-energy radiation sources

A dry powdered animal repellent that does not harm animals or plants. The repellant uses dried and powdered blood meal mixed with chili powder and/or cayenne pepper. The repellant is mixed together in a large moisture resistant container and then sprinkled around or into the soil around plants or into a tunnel opening formed by a rodent. In the first embodiment, designed to repel dogs and cats, the composition contains a 60%/40% (w/w) mixture of blood meal and chili powder (with 10% or less moisture content) with the chili powder being made from peppers with a heat rating of at least 85,000 Scoville units or greater. In the second embodiment, the concentration of blood meal to chili powder is increased to 80%/20% (w/w) respectively, to promote greater plant growth and for greater absorption into worms or grubs living in the soil.
