A device and method permits detecting, measuring, and recording the intensity of radiation corresponding to a green plant's photoactive spectrum striking a selected site, and utilizing such information alphanumerically and graphically displaying the photoactive radiation exposure in sols incident at the site during a particular portion of a day, an entire day, a week, or an month. The photoactive radiation information provided by the invention device allows gardeners, farmers, researchers and others to match the types of trees, shrubs, crops or other plants that would grow best under the radiation conditions usually incident at the site over a desired, extended time period.

Dosimeter device and method

Components for use with a base member in forming a cluster block assembly. More particularly the components include a cover housing which receives the base member and has slot-access cavities for terminals, terminals positioned in the cavities for being attached to wires entering the assembly and receptacles for sliding receiving post terminals entering the cavities through the slots and a cap for covering the cover housing.

Cluster block assembly

Motor stator comprises a stator core having coil windings thereon which are connected to lead wires. A motor protector is connected to at least one of the windings and to one lead wire. The electrical connections between the lead wires, the windings and the protector are made by means of a stator connector mounted on the stator core and which has a pocket which receives the protector. Adjacent to the pocket, a cavity is provided which receives a terminal which connects one of the windings to a first terminal extending from the protector. The windings extend to terminals in the connector which have terminal tabs. The tabs are matable with receptacles in a complementary connector which can be coupled to the stator connector. The second protector terminal extends into the connector housing and is received in a terminal therein which also has a tab for mating with a receptacle in the complementary connector.

Motor stator and connector for making connections to stator windings

The required electrical connections between the ends of the windings on an electrical motor, the switch terminals for the motor, and the motor protector are made by means of an electrical connector which comprises a housing having a plurality of cavities. Each of the cavities has a double-ended terminal therein to which the winding ends are connected. Each terminal also has a receptacle portion which receives a tab extending from either the motor protector or the switch. The connector, the motor protector, and the switch are clustered adjacent to each other with the protector against or adjacent to the coil windings of the motor. The shape of the connector housing, the protector, and the switch, and the location of the cavities in the connector and the terminals on the switch is such that when the parts are assembled to each other on the motor, all of the required electrical connections will be made correctly.

Interconnection system for electrical motors

Multi-contact connector for connecting wires to terminal pads on a circuit board comprises a housing having a trough-like opening extending into its circuit board receiving face. Terminal receiving cavities extend into the circuit board receiving face at spaced-apart intervals. The terminals are U-shaped and have wire-receiving slots extending inwardly from one end. A leaf spring is provided at the other end for contacting a terminal pad. Wire-admitting slots are provided in the housing and extend into the circuit board receiving face and the adjacent sidewalls. In use, a wire is positioned in the wire-admitting slots and the terminal is then inserted into the cavity. The wire is received in the wire-receiving slots and thereby connected to the terminal. When the circuit board is inserted into the trough-like opening, a spring contact on the terminal will engage a terminal pad.

Connector for connecting insulated wires to a circuit board

Connecting device, which may be used for the spring member of a flexible hose, comprises a web having parallel sidewalls extending therefrom. Wire-receiving slot means extend inwardly from the free edges of the sidewalls and contact portion extends forwardly from the web so that when a wire spring in a flexible hose is inserted into the slot, the connecting device will extend from the end of the hose and parallel to the axis thereof. The wire-receiving slot means has features which make it particularly suitable for spring steel wires.
