A tamper-proof closure construction including a cap having a top wall, a skirt and a plurality of tabs extending from the bottom edge of the skirt. The cap fits over the opening in the neck of a container which neck includes a shelf, cams having portions beneath the shelf extending outwardly from the neck beyond the shelf and all portions of the neck between the shelf and a sealing surface on the end of the neck.

Tamper-evident closure system

A twist-off closure for use with a bottle having a neck, a lip and a ledge surrounding the neck and a plurality of ramp sections. The closure includes a top wall, a skirt and a plurality of tabs extending from the bottom edge of the skirt. The tabs are T-shaped and include a cross arm extending adjacent to the free end of the stem. The cap is made from a steel sheet coated with tin and a varnish or lacquer layer with the edges of the cap being formed by pinch trimming so that a corrosion-resistant layer of tin substantially covers the edges.

Twist-off closure

A pet habitat for housing at least one pet animal has a side wall barrier which allows an unobstructed viewing of the animal. The pet habitat comprises a base member, at least two substantially vertical posts secured to the base member, the side wall barrier and a top member dimensioned to overlie the posts and be secured thereto. The side wall barrier is formed from at least one substantially clear side wall section removably mounted on adjacent vertical posts and, in the preferred embodiments, at least one wire frame side wall section mounted on adjacent posts. The clear side wall and wire frame member sections collectively form the side wall barrier. The clear wall section is readily removed and cleaned when needed so that enhanced viewing of the interior of the habitat is maintained.

Bird cage

A tamper-proof closure for use with a bottle having a neck, a lip, and shelf surrounding the neck and a plurality of ramp sections. The closure includes a top wall, a skirt and a plurality of tabs extending from the bottom edge of the skirt. The tabs include first and second side edges and a transverse edge. The tab is longer adjacent to one side edge than the other. The ramp sections include an upwardly sloping portion of the shelf and a cam wall extending across the shelf from the neck to the outer edge of the shelf.

Tamper-evident twist-off closure

A tamper-proof closure is disclosed for use with a bottle having a neck, a lip with a downwardly and inwardly sloping peripheral wall and a plurality of outwardly extending ribs disposed at the juncture of the sloping wall and outer wall of the neck. The closure includes a top wall, a depending ribbed skirt and a plurality of rectangular tabs extending from the bottom edge of the skirt between each pair of ribs. The tabs are bent inwardly and upwardly and include a serrated edge for engagement with the ribs on the bottle. When the cap is applied, the tabs form compressive members holding the lid in sealed position against the bottle neck. The closure is removed by twisting, which causes the tabs to be shifted outwardly beyond the bottle ribs so that the cap can be lifted from the bottle. The closure cannot be reapplied since, during removal, the tabs have been bent outwardly to a point where they can no longer engage the bottle ribs.

Twist-off bottle cap

A safety closure is disclosed for containers of potentially harmful substances. The safety closure includes an inner cap threaded over the container and an outer cap which encloses and is rotatably supported by the outer cap which tracks in a groove in the inner cap. The groove includes an inner section in which the lug is free to move, an outer section including two abutments, and sections interconnecting the inner and outer section. When the driving lug engages either of the abutments, the outer cap can rotate the inner cap.

Safety closure

A paper-board container is disclosed of the type used for shipping airline passengers' garment bags and other articles supported on hangers. The container includes a top wall and integral hanger. The hanger-support structure is formed in the top wall and includes a slot having an elongated leg parallel to the handle and a transverse leg. The flap of the top wall is foldable under the hanger hook which passes through an opening in the flap and is received in an opening in the top wall. The flap includes ears which are locked in a second opening of the top wall. In a modified version, the flap does not include an opening for receiving the hanger hook ears for locking the flap in place.

Container for hanger-supported garments

A closure for beverage cans including a key-shaped sealing tab delineated by a line of weakening in the top panel and a lift tab overlying the sealing tab. The sealing tab includes two parallel downwardly sloping grooves having vertical end walls. A projection having a vertical wall is disposed between the grooves. A raised, fulcrum rib is disposed adjacent the end walls of the grooves. The lift tab includes a main portion and two downwardly extending side arms interconnected by a pivot arm. The side arms are disposed in the grooves. The pivot arm is restrained for pivotal movement by the vertical wall of the projection, the end walls of the grooves and the bottom wall of a second projection formed in the lid. When the lift tab is raised, it initially pivots about the axis of the pivot arm and then about the fulcrum rib. During this latter movement, the arm portion of the lift tab applies a force to the sealing tab causing it to be partially severed and to be moved outwardly away from the pouring opening.
