The present invention encompasses a toy launcher, a phoshor-containing projectile and, in combination, a toy launcher and a phosphor-containing projectile. The launcher includes a mechanism for launching the phosphor-containing projectile outwardly from the launcher, and a radiation-emitter for exposing the projectile within the launcher to phosphorescence-activating radiation prior to the projectile leaving the launcher, whereby the projectile will phosphoresce as it leaves the launcher.

A washable pavement chalk composition comprises a particulate such as powdered calcium carbonate and a binder such as rice starch. The composition is used in a liquid form, therefore preferably also comprising water. One or more colorants may be used in the composition to provide different colored compositions.

A toy vehicle and launcher system includes a motor-driven toy vehicle having a wind-up spring-driven motor to provide forward motion thereof. The launcher is adapted to mount the vehicle and has a releasable latch for precluding forward motion of the vehicle. A biasing spring provides the vehicle with forward motion immediately upon release of the latch. Preferably, the launcher is configured and dimensioned to be releasably mounted on a human limb so that the longitudinal axis of the vehicle is aligned with the longitudinal axis of the limb, thereby making the launcher a foot-operated or arm-operated launcher.

A tearing eye doll having a pair of synthetic eyes, each formed by an eye-shaped porous block whose face simulates the white of a human eye, and an impermeable disc seated in a recess in the face and colored to simulate an iris and a pupil therein. Received in a cavity within the block behind the disc is a nozzle for injecting water into the block, the water passing through the pores and emerging from the face to form a water film thereon from which tears drop, thereby simulating tearing activity. The eye nozzle are coupled to a miniature water reservoir disposed within the doll. The reservoir is subjected to air pressure by a compressible pneumatic actuator enclosed in a flexible arm of the doll, such that when the arm is squeezed, water forced into the eye nozzles to produce a tearing action.
