Systems and methods are provided and include a computer terminal located at a flooring store that receives a measured color of a flooring product. A server receives paint product catalog information from a computer system located at a coating manufacturer facility, determines paint colors that coordinate with the flooring product based on the paint product catalog information, and runs a paint product ordering application that interacts with a web browser of the computer terminal. The computer terminal receives a paint product ordering web page from the server that enables a user to create an order for a paint product based on a selected paint color and transmits the order to the server. The server receives the order and communicates the order to the computer system at the coating manufacturer facility. The computer system receives the order for order fulfillment, including creating, packing, and shipping the paint product to the user.

Systems and methods are provided and include a server configured to receive a copy of paint product catalog information associated with a coating manufacturer, store a paint product ordering application, receive a measured color of a flooring product from a dealer computer terminal located at a flooring store, determine paint colors that coordinate with the flooring product based on a measured color of the flooring product and the copy of the paint product catalog information, communicate the paint colors to the dealer computer terminal, run the paint product ordering application, receive an order for a paint product from the dealer computer terminal, and communicate the order for the paint product to a computer system located at a coating manufacturer facility, the computer system being configured to receive transmission of the order for the paint product from the server for order fulfillment at the coating manufacturer facility.

Systems and methods include a server configured to provide an application to a remote computing device. The application displays a project image including a photo of a paintable structure and a hot spot located at a predefined location within the project image and configured to draw attention by at least one of blinking, pulsing, and enlarging. The application displays a first link and a second link in response to a cursor being controlled to touch or roll over the hot spot. The application displays at least one of a color name and a color number associated with a paint color at the predefined location of the hot spot in response to receiving input selecting the first link, and displays a color summary including a list of paint colors used in the project image in response to receiving input selecting the second link.

Systems and methods of the present disclosure include a server configured to provide an application to a remote computing device. The application is configured to display color sheen chips that represent a paint sheen on a display of the remote computing device and to receive input to control a cursor displayed on the display. The application is further configured to enlarge a particular color sheen chip on the display in response to the cursor being controlled to hover over the particular color sheen chip and to pivot the particular color sheen chip on the display about a central axis of the particular color sheen chip in response to the cursor being controlled to move back and forth over the particular color sheen chip to enhance displayed characteristics of the paint sheen associated with the particular color sheen chip.

The web site application is configured to pivot a particular color sheen chip of the plurality of color sheen chips about a central axis of the particular color sheen chip on a display of the remote computing device when a cursor of the remote computing device is moved over the particular color sheen chip to enhance displayed characteristics of the paint sheen associated with the particular color sheen chip.

Systems and methods include a server configured to provide a web site application to a remote computing device over the Internet. The remote computing device receives user input to control a cursor. The web site application is configured to enable the remote computing device to display a plurality of color sheen chips on a display of the remote computing device, each color sheen chip representing a different color sheen. The second web page display screen is generated in response to the selection and has an enlarged display of the particular color family. A website arranged to provide a plurality of home pages, each presenting a featured painting project image, each project image employing a plurality of different colors, each color located in a respective region of the image with at least one attention-drawing animated 'hot spot' located in one or more of the regions and responsive to a first selection operation to cause display of the color name of the color of the region where the hot spot lies. The home pages further may include real-life simulating animation features, while the system software is operable to select the relative frequency with which each home page appears. Other web pages provide an animated color sheen selection tool.

An automated method and apparatus for providing color selection capability to a user, wherein a first display is generated on a display apparatus of a plurality of color families displayed in a plurality of rows and a plurality of columns. Upon selection of a particular color family, a second display is generated comprising an enlarged display of the particular selected color family and a thumbnail navigation frame displaying the plurality of color families and a link enabling return to the first display, the enlarged display including a plurality of color chips of the particular color family. A third display may further be generated in response to a selection of a particular color chip on the second display, the third display having an enlarged display of the particular color chip, the thumbnail navigation frame displaying the plurality of color families, and the link enabling return to the first display.

An automated method and apparatus for providing color selection capability to a user wherein a first display is generated on a display apparatus of an array of color family groups disposed in a plurality of rows and a plurality of columns. Upon selection of a particular color family group, a second display is generated comprising an enlarged display of a particular selected color family group and a reduced size miniature version of the array of color family groups. A third display may further be generated in response to selection of a color chip on the second display during which generation a color chip selected on the second display is caused to appear in an enlarged form in the third display.

An automated method and apparatus for providing color selection capability to a user wherein a first display is generated on a display apparatus of an array of color family groups disposed in a plurality of rows and a plurality of columns. Upon selection of a particular color family group, a second display is generated comprising an enlarged display of a particular selected color family group wherein, as the second display is generated, the array of color family groups of the first display dissolves while the particular selected color family group moves into a central enlarged position and a miniature version of the entire array of color family groups is displayed in a thumbnail navigation frame, located in a corner of the display screen. Various elements of a color family such as color stripe cards, color style cards, and sample chips may be selected and caused to appear via animation in a central enlarged position in the display.
