Provided are methods, processes and systems for treating a soapstock. In alternative embodiments, provided are systems and methods for treating a soapstock to generate free fatty acids and/or fatty acid derivatives, e.g. fatty acid alkyl esters. In alternative embodiments, provided are systems and methods for realizing the full fatty acid yield of a soapstock by first converting substantially all of the saponifiable material in a soapstock to salts of fatty acids (soaps) and acidulating the soaps to generate free fatty acids and/or fatty acid derivatives, e.g. fatty acid alkyl esters, wherein the soapstock comprises soaps and saponifiable lipids, e.g. glycerides and/or phospholipids, and the generating of free fatty acids and/or fatty acid is achieved.

A method is presented for providing a Customer hosted chat invitation to a browsing user. A service provider provides a Customer with a set of interactive invitation input objects, and the Customer creates and stores a set of customized invitation setup data from interacting with the input objects. A rotary trimmer for trimming flash and the blow dome from a plastic bottle forming a portion of a plastic blow molded log discharged from a blow mold includes flash punching, a neck support plate, and a guillotine blade. The neck support plate is movable by a plate drive to move adjacent the neck of the plastic log to support the neck during cutting of the blow dome and cooperates with a log holder to essentially support the entire outer periphery of the neck. The guillotine blade is movable by a blade drive to pass through the plastic log and sever the blow dome from the neck of the log.

A man overboard rescue system including a rescue line trailing from a vessel and a sea anchor pack mounted adjacent the stern of the vessel. A victim tugs on the trailing line to release a sea anchor attached to the other end of the line which causes the victim to be towed back to the vessel due to differential drag between the sea anchor and victim. The line is reeved through a one way pulley to assure the victim is towed back to the vessel. Various victim safety harnesses and alarm signal arrangements in conjunction with the system are disclosed. A spooler or storage packs may be provided for stowage of line. A line latch or brake prevents the accidental deployment of the sea anchor in heavy seas. An otherwise conventional line launcher is used when trailing a line from the vessel is impractical.

In a carbonated beverage dispensing apparatus including a dispensing valve, carbon dioxide gas is introduced into a liquid to be dispensed through the dispensing valve, and a temperature sensor is arranged to sense the temperature of the liquid, either in a carbonation tank or in the path through which the liquid is fed to the carbonation tank. A control, responsive to the temperature sensor, controls a valve which regulates the pressure at which carbon dioxide is introduced into the liquid. The carbon dioxide pressure increases with increasing liquid temperature, so that the carbonation level in the liquid dispensed through the dispensing valve is maintained at a substantially constant level. Both mechanical and electronic controls are disclosed.

A pair of clutch-brake units each include a housing confining a cooling oil and rotatably supporting an input shaft and an aligned output shaft with interfitting clutch plates and discs for connecting the aligned shafts and interfitting brake plates and discs for connecting the output shaft to the housing. Each housing also encloses an axially movable non-rotating actuating piston for selectively engaging the clutch and brake plates and discs, and the input shafts of the clutch-brake units are driven continuously by a common electric motor. The output shaft of one clutch-brake unit is connected by a first drive mechanism to raise and lower or reciprocate a vertical shaft supporting a head member which carries a transfer arm, and the output shaft of the other clutch-brake unit is connected by a second drive mechanism to oscillate the vertical shaft, head member and transfer arm.
