A beverage dispenser maintains a profile queue with profile data of 'close' consumer mobile computing devices. Each profile in the profile queue maintains one or more beverages previously selected by a consumer, such as favorite beverage(s), mixed or blended beverages, and/or past or future beverage order(s). Each profile in the profile queue is additionally associated with a profile identifier, such as a name, screen name, social media picture, avatar, alphanumeric identifier, other such text or graphics recognizable by a consumer to be associated with their corresponding profile. Upon navigation to an appropriate screen on the beverage dispenser, a display on the beverage dispenser shows the profile identifiers or one or more of the previously selected beverages in the profiles of “close” consumer mobile computing devices. In this way, a consumer is able to quickly access their previously selected beverages without actively manipulating their mobile device.

Remote beverage selection with a beverage dispenser

A beverage dispenser and method for operating a beverage dispenser may include receiving a handshake request from a mobile device of a user. A communications link may be established with the mobile device. Responsive to receiving control data associated with a beverage order from the mobile device, a physical function may be caused to be performed by the beverage dispenser.

System and method for choosing and pouring beverages

A system and method of vending product items may include storing product items within a product storage area. A product item may be released from the product storage area. The product item may be hoisted over at least a portion of the product storage area. The hoisted product item may be presented to a user. In one embodiment, the product storage area may be positioned within a vending machine, and the vending machine may be mobile. The vending machine may also be self-propelled. In an embodiment, the vending machine may be moved via a controller being used by an operator. Alternatively, the vending machine may be moved autonomously.

Vending mechanism

An elevating platform assembly is provided. In accordance with one exemplary embodiment a platform is present and is moveable along a travel distance of a mast. A cylinder is provided and is capable of being actuated. The cylinder is used to move the platform along the travel distance.

Hydraulic elevating platform assembly

A process of constructing a large diameter tank is provided. The process includes the step of providing a tank wall mandrel that has at least one drive wheel and at least one curved panel. Glass fibers are applied from a vertical winder to the curved panel in order to form a segment of a tank wall shell. Additional glass fibers are also applied to the curved panel at a location above the segment of the tank wall shell in order to form a unitary tank shell.

Apparatus and method for making large diameter wound-fiber reinforced tanks

A programmable filament winding apparatus is provided. The apparatus has a rotatable mandrel having a center rotational axis, a traverse axially movable relative to the mandrel, a filament supply, a drive associated with the traverse for movably positioning the traverse, and a winder drive unit for rotating the mandrel. In order to obtain computer control of the apparatus, a first encoder for producing a signal corresponding to rotation of the mandrel, a second encoder associated with the traverse for producing a signal corresponding to a position of the traverse as it moves along the traverse drive axial to the mandrel, and a computer including a microprocessor for receiving and processing signals from the first and second encoders and for controlling the traverse drive and rotation of the mandrel is provided. For manual control, a control panel in communication with the computer for controlling the traverse drive and rotation of the mandrel is provided. The microprocessor further includes a programmable memory for storing at least one program describing motion of the traverse drive and rotation of the mandrel. The control panel is also capable of controlling the motion of the drive independent from the motion of the mandrel. This allows for the precise winding of filament on a mandrel that has a thickness that changes.

A solar radiation concentrator comprises a balloon formed of two concentric flat disc shaped flexible sheets of Mylar type plastics material, each disc having on the inwardly facing surface thereof a plurality of concentric radially separated reflective belts with the belts on one disc being staggered relative to those on the other and positioned so that when the balloon is inflated parallel light from the sun can pass through the interbelt regions on one disc to the belts on the other disc and be reflected back to the belts on the one disc and reflected from the latter through the inter-belt regions on the other disc to a common focus.

An electronic adding machine for adding and subtracting feet, inches, and sixteenths inch has a hexadecimal keyboard with the decimal keys 0-9 contrasting with the six other keys 10-15. Each addened and subtrahend applied to the keyboard is encoded in binary coded hexadecimal (sixteenths and inches) and decimal (feet) and temporarily stored in receiver registers. Whatever data is in the receiver registers is continually read out by an L.E.D. display. Read out is effected by first converting the inch and sixteenths data to binary coded decimal and thereafter converting all the data from BCD to seven segment L.E.D. signals. Timed blanking of the L.E.D.s saves battery power. Accumulator registers store the total of all previous entries. When an add or subtract key is actuated, a hexadecimal full adder adds the augend in the accumulator registers and the data in the receiver registers, the result is entered in the accumulator registers, and the receiver registers are cleared to receive more data. If the data component is other than sixteenths, e.g. inches or feet, a correction is made to the result before entering it in the accumulator registers, since the feet are counted in decimal and the inches in duodecimal, and are so stored in the accumulator registers even though binary coded.
