A pump unit has an electrical drive motor and a control device for controlling the drive motor, wherein said control device includes at least one microprocessor and storage means which is able to store at least one control program executable by said microprocessor, wherein said control device includes or communicates with a programming module by which at least one user application can be created and/or modified and stored in said storage means, wherein said programming module is designed such that at least one input parameter, at least one operator and at least one action can be chosen as program elements and combined to generate at least one user function of said user application which can be executed by said microprocessor.

Pump unit

A method for testing a primary memory of control and regulation electronics of a frequency converter is described. The primary memory includes (i) at least one matrix of memory cells, (ii) means for addressing the at least one memory cell matrix, and (iii) a write/read circuit The method includes examining at least a part of the means for addressing with regard to address errors and examining at least a part of the memory cells with regard to cell errors. The examining steps are performed independently of one another. The examining at least a part of the means for addressing includes examining individual address bits of an n-bit wide address bus in steps that are performed independently of one another. The examining is dependent on use of the primary memory for operation of the frequency converter.

Method for testing a main memory

A batching of currently supplied articles with non-uniform weights into portions of a uniform target weight is effected by passing the articles through a weighing station ( ) to a distribution system ( ), in which the articles ( ) are selectively allocated to a plurality of receiver bins ( ). It is known to improve the capacity of such a system by way of probability calculations based on the normal distribution of the articles in the supply flow, but according to the invention it is still better to base such calculations on a regularly updated recorded histogram ( ) of the weight distribution of a relatively high number of newly weighed articles. Thereby the target calculations will rely on factual rather than just expected conditions, and a very important result is that it is possible to effect relevant batching even when the article weights in the supply flow are not normally distributed.
