An apparatus for performing data entry by a user includes a first electronic device configured to be attached to a person's head and including a display for viewing by the person; and a second electronic device configured to be attached to a person's forearm and used in combination with the first electronic device. The first and second electronic devices are configured for wirelessly communications with each other, at least some of the wireless communications representing user input by the person for interfacing with a user interface displayed to the person on the display of the first electronic device, whereby data entry by the person is accomplished. The first electronic device is configured to wirelessly transmit data entered by the person to a computer system for electronic storage in a non-transitory computer readable medium.

A parachute pack of the type including a pilot chute for drawing a main parachute canopy out of its container uses a single adjustable tension retainer cord and pin which holds a compression spring for the pilot chute in an adjustably tensioned state. Various packing methods and canopy sizes may be used with the pack so that a constant tension may be placed on the compression spring regardless of the thickness of the pack. In addition, ends of side flaps of the container are attached to the bottom flap of the container, and epaulet flaps are fastened to a top flap, to form a boxlike enclosure for the main parachute so as restrict release of the main parachute from the container until after the pilot chute has attained a sufficient amount of positive drag to urge the main chute therefrom.

An aeronautical drogue having a canopy and support members connecting the canopy to a connector provides for essentially constant drag at variable speeds by aerodynamic pressure modulation through controllably venting the canopy by constructing the canopy of a plurality of separate elastic bands positioned side by side the elastic bands being connected at spaced intervals by flexible connections.
