A coping system for parapet is comprised of three separate components, a plurality of cleats, a plurality of chairs and a plurality of caps. The cleats are secured to the parapet at spaced intervals and each cleat supports a corresponding chair. Each cap extends between at least two cleats and chairs. Adjacent caps are spaced from each other forming a gap between the caps with the gap being located directly above the chair. The chair forms a gutter for routing water away from the top of the parapet. The chair biases the cap away from the parapet to maintain the engagement between the cap and the cleat. All three components are made entirely of metal providing a sealed joint between adjacent caps without the use of organic compounds.

Coping

An assembly is provided for sealingly anchoring a sheet-like base roofing material on a building structure. The assembly includes an anchoring flange or plate having a number of openings therethrough, and a marshal strip of sheet martial overlies the anchoring flange and is bonded directly to the base roofing material through the openings, and preferably at a location interior of the anchoring flange. The assembly an be used in roof edge installations, for example, and can also include a fascia or a gutter arrangement, or a wide variety of other conjurations to suit a given application.

Roof edge anchoring devices for building structures

An assembly is provided for sealingly anchoring a sheet-like base roofing material on a building structure. The assembly includes an anchoring flange or plate having a number of openings therethrough, and a marginal strip of sheet material overlies the anchoring flange and is bonded directly to the base roofing material through the openings, and preferably at a location interior of the anchoring flange. The assembly can be used in roof edge installations, for example, and can also include a fascia or a gutter arrangement, or a wide variety of other configurations to suit a given application.

A roofing system having preferred metallic roofing panels overlying a roof structure or a substrate (such as a waterproof membrane) includes a mat of loosely-woven ventilation mesh material between the panels and the roof structure or substrate in order to provide proper ventilation, thus minimizing corrosion resulting from condensed moisture. The mesh is preferably composed of an extruded thermosetting plastic material.

Ventilated roofing system

An assembly is provided for sealing and capping an edge construction on a building structure wherein a facing, composed of masonry or other materials, is placed along a back wall, generally in a face-to-face relationship. The edge sealing or coping assembly seals and caps the interface and joint or space between the facing and the back wall and accommodates variances in the facing depth and/or the spacing between the facing and the back wall along the perimeter of the building.

Edge sealing devices for building structures

A reglet or flashing assembly includes a termination bar member with a snap-on resilient flashing and accommodates longitudinal expansion without leakage at longitudinally-adjacent joints, as well as providing for such a snap-on flashing or skirt component that only requires installation forces that are directed toward the wall, thus avoiding adverse effects on sealants, water-proof membranes, or other wall surface panels or structures. In at least one version, the reglet assembly also accommodates irregularities along the surface of the wall, such as high or low points or recesses resulting from masonry mortar joints.

Reglet assembly with snap-on flashing

A sheet material assembly for forming a fascia assembly, raised roof edge assembly, coping assembly, or other such building component assembly, is disclosed. Such assembly includes at least a longitudinally-extending generally vertical outer face member, and frequently a longitudinally-extending, generally vertical inner face member spaced laterally away from the outer face member with an intermediate member disposed between the spaced-apart inner and outer face members to interconnect the inner and outer face members. Preferably, both or at least one of the face members has a flange portion located generally at an upper edge, with the intermediate member or an adjacent portion of the face member being secured to the flange portion. Such an assembly facilitates the forming of an angulated configuration, or a curved arcuate configuration, in order to form a 'corner' portion of the assembly. In this regard, an insert member is also disclosed for filling any unsightly notches or gaps in laterally-protruding portions of the components and is preferably molded from a resilient material of a color that is complementary to the finished sheet material components.

Fascia assembly and method of making same

A coping assembly is disclosed for a parapet wall on a building structure that can accommodate varying or inconsistent wall widths, with the parapet wall having generally vertical inner and outer vertical surfaces interconnected by a generally horizontal upper surface. Coping assemblies according to the present invention include a preferred resilient clip member, a clip attachment device for attaching the clip member to the parapet wall, a fascia member, a top plate member, and a top plate anchoring device for anchoring the top plate to the parapet wall. The fascia member and the top plate member have overlapping or telescoping portions that provide for the feature by which various wall widths or thicknesses can be accommodated.

Coping assembly for a non-uniform parapet wall

An assembly is disclosed for forming a raised roof edge on a building structure that preferably has a generally horizontal roof and a geneally vertical outer face. The assembly includes a dam member for forming a water dam or gravel stop and a fascia member. Preferably, the dam member is a one-piece structure, including a clamping and retention portion and a vertical intermediate portion, and biases and secures the fascia member into a relatively tight and rattle-free interlocking installation on the dam member. Preferably, a roofing material is gripped and held against the dam member as a result of the biasing forces of the clamping and retention portion and the intermediate dam portion. The roof edge assembly thereby provides an improved water dam or gravel stop structure that securely retains the roofing material on the roof of the building structure without penetrating the roofing material, at least along the roof surface. Also, because the roof edge assembly is adapted for installation on roof structures employing roofing pavers or other such roof-covering devices, and preferably anchors and retains the roofing pavers, the roof edge assembly of the present invention features increased stability and resistance to uplift forces in comparison to more conventional roof edge assemblies.

Roof edge construction with snap-on roof block restraint

An assembly is disclosed for forming a raised roof edge on a building structure that preferably has a generally horizontal roof and a generally vertical outer face. The assembly includes a dam member for forming a water dam or gravel stop, a fascia member, and a separate clip member interposed therebetween for resiliently biasing the fascia member into a relatively tight and rattle-free interlocking installation on the dam member. Preferably, a roofing material is interposed between the clip member and the dam member and is frictionally secured and anchored therebetween as a result of the resilient snap-on engagement of the fascia member on the clip member and the dam member. The roof edge assembly thereby provides an improved water dam or gravel stop structure that securely retains and protects the roofing material on the roof of the building structure.

Roof edge construction

An assembly is disclosed for forming a raised roof edge on a building structure that preferably has a generally horizontal roof and a generally vertical outer face. The assembly includes a dam member for forming a water dam or gravel stop, a fascia member, and either a one-piece clamping and flashing member, or separate clamping and flashing members, for biasing and securing the fascia member into a relatively tight and rattle-free interlocking installation on the dam member. Preferably, a roofing material is gripped and held against the dam member as a result of the biasing forces of the clamping member or one-piece clamping and flashing member. The roof edge assembly thereby provides an improved water dam or gravel stop structure that securely retains the roofing material on the roof of the building structure. Also, because the roof edge assembly is adapted for installation on roof structures employing roofing pavers or other roof-covering devices, and is preferably anchored thereby, the roof edge assembly of the present invention features increased stability and resistance to uplift forces in comparison to more conventional roof edge assemblies.

Roof edge construction with compression and flashing members

An assembly is disclosed for forming a raised roof edge on a building structure that preferably has a generally horizontal roof and a generally vertical outer face. The assembly includes a dam member for forming a water dam or gravel stop, a fascia member, and a separate spring clip member interposed therebetween for resiliently biasing the fascia member into a relatively tight and rattle-free interlocking installation on the dam member. Preferably, a roofing material is interposed between the spring clip member and the dam member and is frictionally secured and anchored therebetween as a result of the resilient biasing forces of the resilient spring clip member. The roof edge assembly thereby provides an improved water dam or gravel stop structure that securely retains the roofing material on the roof of the building structure.

This disclosure relates to a roof edge assembly for use in forming a raised edge or gravel stop on a roof. The disclosure also relates to a framing structure useful for framing windows and doors; and to a mounting assembly for securing building panels, curtain walls, partitions, siding and the like to building surfaces. The nailerless roof edge of the present invention eliminates the need for the piece of wood or nailer which is normally bolted to the top of a cement block wall for the purpose of fastening metal roof edges. The present roof edge assembly comprises a tab strip member which is adapted to be secured adjacent the edge of a roof using adhesive or other attaching means and which has special tab means thereon. The assembly further comprises a cant member having slot means therein adapted to mate with the tab means to secure the cant member to the tab strip member, and a fascia member which is adapted to be mounted on the cant member. The present invention provides for relatively simple, fast, and economical installation of roof edging and is adaptable to conventional roofing sealing membrane and insulation configurations. The framing structure employs a similar tab strip member for securing as with adhesive to a building surface adjacent the window or doorway opening. A frame member, having slotted openings or raised clip members, engages the tab strip to hold the frame member in place on the building structure, while a cover member can be snap fit onto the frame member to conceal the tabs. A similar tab strip is also used to secure other building materials to a building structure, wherein the building material is provided with slotted openings or raised clip members for engaging the tab strip.
