An apparatus including an electrical switching device to control current to a load and a second case arranged to substantially encapsulate the electrical switching device. The electrical switching device includes a first case; a plurality of contacts disposed in the first case; and an opening in the first case disposed to expose the contacts. The second case is arranged to duct a blast from the opening of the first case of the electrical switching device.

Electrical switching component

There is disclosed a base member for holding, without screws, a printed circuit board having conductive traces and electronic components and which can fit into an electric outlet box. The base member has walls which define a cavity where at least one wall of the cavity has a rib, the top of which functions as a stop for the printed circuit board. A cap having snap features adapted to engage the walls of the cavity restricts removal of the printed circuit board when snapped into position on top of the printed circuit board. The cap conceals the electronics on the printed circuit board and has at least one rib on its bottom surface to apply pressure to the printed circuit board assembly to help hold it in place. An aperture in the cap provides access to a pin header which is electrically connected to the printed circuit board. A screw terminal block is provided to connect the terminals on the pin header to a sensor. The printed circuit board has one edge an open side hour glass shape aperture which provides strain relief for wires from the printed circuit board. Opposite ends of the aperture hold two wires captive and the space between the two wires holds captive a third wire.

Low labor enclosure assembly

The present invention discloses an apparatus and method for converting a low voltage occupancy sensor to a powered stand-alone unit. The invention uses a low voltage occupancy sensor mounted in an upper portion of a housing with its associated low voltage wiring terminating in a terminal block. An attachable corresponding lower housing is provided with a power pack adapted to connect with the low voltage terminal block wherein once combined the upper and lower housing portions combine to form an integral powered stand-alone sensor unit.

Occupancy sensor powerbase

A sensor mounting mechanism that includes a base member adapted to be mounted to a structure and a base neck having a first end and a second end where the first end is adapted to be coupled to a sensor with a ball-socket coupling and the second end is coupled to the base member with a rotating coupling. The mounting mechanism provides fine and coarse adjustment means for adjusting the scanning area of the sensor such as an PIR occupancy sensor without the use of a tool. The sensor includes a detachable lens holder for easy replacement of the lens.
