A stator bar clip adapter for a liquid cooled dynamoelectric device having a stator bar bottle clip coupled to a first stator bar and a stator bar leaf clip coupled to a second, same series-loop stator bar, and a related dynamoelectric device are disclosed. The stator bar clip adapter includes a bottle clip engaging member configured to engage a stator bar bottle clip; and a leaf clip engaging member coupled to the bottle clip engaging member and configured to engage a stator bar leaf clip.

Punchings for stator core laminations of a generator stator frame are disposed on a rotary table to form annular arrays of punching, with each layer staggered relative to adjacent layers. A mandrel is disposed at the center of the table and has fingers projecting radially for receiving the slots of the punchings to facilitate location of the punchings on the table and relative to one another. An annular cover is provided and disposed over the uppermost layer of punchings and clamped to the superposed sets of annular layers of punchings. The cover and punchings can then be removed from the table for disposition in the generator stator frame. The fingers on the mandrel are displaced vertically relative to the table as the height of the punchings on the table increases.

Apparatus for locating and stacking punchings for a generator core

A stator and a method of forming the stator comprises providing a stator frame having a frame plate, and connecting key bars to the frame plate at respective connection points, each of the key bars having a dovetail. The stator and method further includes providing a stator core comprising laminations each having a dovetail slot formed therein. Each dovetail is engaged into a respective dovetail slot so that at least some of the dovetails contact respective laminations at respective contact points. The locations of the contact points are controlled such that a force load transmitted by the contact points is evenly distributed among the contact points to thus minimize the maximum force transmitted. The location of the contact points is controlled such that a key bar stress at the connection points is also minimized.

Method of forming a stator

A stator comprises a stator frame, a plurality of key bars connected to the stator frame and a stator core. Each of the key bars has a dovetail. The stator core is formed by a pre-packaged stator core section including laminations each having a dovetail slot for engaging a respective dovetail. The stator core also includes a manually stacked stator core section including manually stacked laminations each having a dovetail slot for engaging respective dovetails. The cross-sectional area of the dovetail slots in the pre-packaged stator core section is larger than the cross-sectional area of the dovetail slots of the manually stacked stator core section.

Stator having reduced forces at generator stator key bar and method for forming the same

A stator comprises a stator frame, a stator core and a spring. The stator core includes at least one lamination having a dovetail slot formed therein. A key bar is connected to the stator frame and includes a dovetail for engaging the dovetail slot. The spring is coupled between a portion of the lamination and the dovetail to provide an electrical ground path between the stator core and the stator frame. The spring includes a leaf spring that has first and second ends which contact the dovetail and a central portion. The central portion is connected to a base portion which contacts the lamination. Alternatively, the spring includes a base portion that contacts the lamination and prongs which project from the base portion and contact the dovetail.

Packaged stator core and method forming the same

An ascending and descending device, or ladder, having a single central mast and a hand and two foot supports axially slidably engaging the mast. Each hand and foot support has a spring biased clutch normally preventing axial motion of its associated support along the mast, and a lever for releasing the hand or foot support to move along the mast. The hand support has weight bearing platforms, or grips, projecting to both sides of the mast. Each foot support projects to one side of the mast. The foot supports are tethered together to limit the distance by which they become separated when lowering one foot support. The mast has at its bottom end a base having folding legs. The mast selectively receives at its top end a pronged support for engaging the roof of a building and a chair to enable a person to remain seated above the ground. The chair has a safety tie for securing the chair to a tree.
