A method of controlling a viscosity of fuel in a fuel control system with a vibratory meter is provided. The method includes providing the fuel to the vibratory meter, measuring a property of the fuel with the vibratory meter, and generating a signal based on the measured property of the fuel. The method also includes providing the signal to a temperature control unit configured to control the temperature of the fuel provided to the vibratory meter.

A method for operating an engine systemcomprising an engineconfigured to consume a fuel, having at least a two flowmetersis provided. The method includes the step of operating an enginedisposed between a supply flowmeterof the at least two flowmeters and a return flowmeterof the at least two flowmeters. A first fuel density in the supply flowmeterand a second fuel density in the return flowmeterare measured. The fuel density measurementsbetween the supply flowmeterand return flowmeterare compared and a differential density measurement value, &#x394;&#x3c1;based on a difference in the second fuel density and the first fuel density is determined. The &#x394;&#x3c1;is compared to a range of theoretical differential fuel density values, &#x394;&#x3c1;, and potential fuel contamination is indicated if the &#x394;&#x3c1; lies outside a range of &#x394;&#x3c1;values by a predetermined threshold.

Method and apparatus for determining differential density

A meter electronics () for a vibrating meter () is provided. The vibrating meter () includes a sensor assembly located within a pipeline (). The sensor assembly () is in fluid communication with one or more fluid switches (). The meter electronics () is configured to measure one or more flow characteristics of a fluid flowing through the sensor assembly (). The meter electronics () is further configured to receive a first fluid switch signal () indicating a fluid condition within the pipeline () from a first fluid switch () of the one or more fluid switches. The meter electronics () is further configured to correct the one or more flow characteristics if the fluid condition is outside a threshold value or band.
