An optical element mounting includes a frame, and a shuttle that is translatable relative to the frame. The shuttle includes inner and outer portions that are mechanically coupled together by a plurality of flexures that effectively bending and twisting of the shuttle from being transmitted to an optical element, such as an optical window, that is mounted on the inner portion of the shuttle. The flexures may be thin linking strips of material between the outer and inner portions. The flexures may have a thickness that is greater in an expected load direction, than in a direction perpendicular to the load direction. The optical mounting may include a locking mechanism, for example including a shape memory alloy wire, to lock the shuttle in a predetermined location relative to the frame.

A glans sheath device having a reservoir capable of containing preferrably 8 cc's of seminal fluid and having said reservoir compacted and packaged to be protected and remain compacted during coitus and able to deploy distally outward to contain seminal fluid flooding the reservoir. Restraining legs attached to the perimeter of the glans sheath flange tautly restrain the flange over a multiple-piece restraining tool so that the glans sheath can be easily handled during a flange to glans bonding operation. A protective backing covers over adhesive on the proximal surface of the flange to protect the adhesive prior to bonding.

A locking plier tool of the threaded shaft design which has an adjustment dial located in the midbody of the fixed handle. This dial location affords the operator the ability to adjust the jaw gap of the tool with the thumb digit while simultaneously handling the plier body with the finger digits of the same hand, making the jaw gap adjustment a one hand operation.

The kit contains a liquid adhesive and an applicator, a liquid solvent and an applicator, and a glans cap having a minimum of a reservoir, a pre-applied adhesive coating on the proximal surface of the annular flange, and a through-passage from the proximal surface of the annular flange into the reservoir.

A prophylactic which sits atop the glans penis, ahering to the annular region about the urethral opening and having integrally attached, adhesive covered extensions which lie adhered along the surface of the glans penis. The invention is manipulated during installation by holding a semi-rigid support structure which is either removable from the backside of the adhesive covered annular surface and extensions or integral to the same annular surface and extensions. An absorbent material is provided in the reservoir of the device for absorbing the ejaculate from the user.
