Described herein is an absorbent article including (a) an absorbent core, a first nonwoven material, a second nonwoven material, and a bond area; and (b) a polymeric filler composition disposed within the bond area. The polymeric filler composition has less than 5% of a tackifier. The polymeric filler composition is chosen from a propylene butene copolymer, a polypropylene homopolymer, a propylene ethylene copolymer, and mixtures thereof. The polymeric filler composition has a Tensile Strength at Yield of from about 0.5 MPa to about 10 MPa.

Absorbent article comprising a lotion resistant polymeric filler composition

A wearable article includes a front and back elastic belts, a crotch region, a waist opening, and leg openings. Each elastic belt is a laminate having an inner sheet, an outer sheet, and an elastic member. Elastic adhesive bonding continuously bonds the elastic member for at least about 10 mm in the direction of stretch adjacent the side edges of the belts. A discrete patterned adhesive bonding is applied to at least one of the inner and outer sheets to intermittently bond the inner and outer sheets. The discrete patterned adhesive bonding extends substantially along the transverse direction between the elastic adhesive bonding, and substantially along the longitudinal direction between the distal and proximal edges of the elastic belts. The same adhesive agent provides the elastic adhesive and discrete patterned adhesive bonding. Heat bonds form side seams, and the remainder of the laminate is free of heat bonds.

Disclosed is a wearable article comprising front and back elastic belt regions and a crotch region between the front and back elastic belt regions; the front and back elastic belt regions each comprising a laminate, an elastic bonding continuously bonding an elastic member in the direction of stretch, and a vertical bonding applied to at least one of inner and outer sheets to intermittently bond the elastic member to at least one of the inner and outer sheets, the vertical bonding having a transverse dimension VGand spaced apart from each other with a transverse pitch VG, wherein the outer sheet comprises a repeating pattern of apertures, the repeating pattern of apertures spaced apart from each other with a longitudinal pitch DF, and spaced apart from each other with a transverse pitch DF, wherein VGis greater than DF, and wherein the repeating pattern of apertures have a Longitudinal Orientation.

Described herein is an absorbent article including (a) an absorbent core, a first nonwoven material, a second nonwoven material, and a bond area; and (b) a polymeric filler composition disposed within the bond area. Aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatuses printing and curing energy curable inks printed on substrates. The printing systems may include a printing station, a light source, and a reflective device. During operation, the printing station deposits energy curable ink onto a first surface of the substrate to define a printed region, wherein an amount of the curable ink may penetrate into the substrate from the first surface toward a second surface. The light source directs ultraviolet light onto the first surface of the substrate to define a first illumination zone. The reflective device reflects ultraviolet light traveling from the second surface of the substrate back toward the second surface to define a second illumination zone. The substrate is advanced in a machine direction to advance the energy curable ink through the first illumination zone and the second illumination zone to cure the energy curable ink.

Method and apparatus for curing inks printed on fibrous absorbent article components

An absorbent article comprising a topsheet, a backsheet, an absorbent core comprising channels disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet, and a printed adhesive layer disposed between the topsheet and the absorbent core such that the printed adhesive layer is visible through the topsheet. At least a portion of the adhesive layer forms a pattern of one or more pairs of contoured lines that run lengthwise in the machine direction of the absorbent article, each pair being symmetric to its compliment across an axis of the absorbent article drawn in the machine direction and at the center of its width. The distance between the innermost pair of contoured lines is from about 15 mm to about 25 mm or the amount of adhesive comprising the printed adhesive layer is such that the pattern coverage with the adhesive is from about 15% to about 30%.

The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatuses including printheads arranged along a machine direction for printing regions of advancing substrate at desired contrasts, wherein apparatuses include at least one printhead configured to print a region of a nonwoven substrate. The printhead is operated at a firing frequency and the nonwoven substrate is advanced at a speed in the machine direction under the printhead. Drops of ink having a drop mass DM are ejected from the printhead onto the first surface of the nonwoven substrate to define a printed region having a print resolution extending the machine direction, MDR (dpi), and a print resolution extending in the cross direction, CDR (dpi). In turn, the printed region includes an ink basis weight, IBW (gsm), that is equal to or greater than about 0.5 grams per square meter (gsm) and an optical density that is equal to or greater than about 0.2.
