A magnetorheological-fluid hydraulic mount includes a hydraulic-mount partition plate assembly, a hydraulic-mount decoupler, an electric coil, and a flexible membrane assembly. The partition plate assembly has first and second sides, has a non-magnetorheological-fluid first orifice, and has a magnetorheological-fluid second orifice. The first orifice has a first terminus positioned at the first side and a second terminus positioned at the second side. The second orifice has a first end positioned at the first side and has a second end positioned at the second side. The hydraulic-mount decoupler is operatively connected to the first orifice. The electric coil is disposed to magnetically influence the second orifice. The flexible membrane assembly has a first membrane portion fluidly-isolating, on the first side of the partition plate assembly, the first end from the first terminus and has a second membrane portion fluidly-isolating, on the second side of the partition plate assembly, the second end from the second terminus.

Magnetorheological-fluid hydraulic mount

An improved hydraulic engine mounting device is provided which includes a main body defined by first and second shells. Each of these shells contains a chamber separated from each other by an orifice assembly. The first shell includes a flange for supporting the orifice assembly the second shell interengaging with the first shell at the flange area. The diaphragm is interposed between the second shell and the orifice assembly within the second chamber. The orifice assembly includes a ledge portion extending about an outer perimeter of the orifice assembly, the perimeter of the diaphragm captured between the ledge portion and the perimeter of the second shell. A plastically deforming perimeter of the first shell presses the diaphragm between the orifice and the second shell to provide a tight hydraulic seal.

Hydraulic engine mounting device

A hydraulic engine mount includes an orifice track formed in a partition between an elastomer body and a base member of the mount, the partition being formed by two separable orifice plates. An annular fluid filled tuning chamber is disposed adjacent the orifice track and separated therefrom by a flexible membrane. An actuator is in communication with the tuning chamber for forcing pressure fluid into or out of the chamber to selectively deflect or distend the membrane to modify the cross sectional area of the orifice track and the vibration damping characteristics of the mount.

Mechanically tuned hydraulic engine mount

Hydraulic mounts which include a body member, a partition, a diaphragm and a base member are placed on an apparatus for supporting the body member loosely assembled with the partition, diaphragm and base member. A head member engages the body member and the base member in temporary fluid sealing relationship while air is evacuated from internal chambers of the mount and hydraulic fluid is flowed into the chambers. The head member may then be moved away from the base member and a final assembly of the mount provided by crimping a peripheral upper edge of the body member in forcible engagement with the base member, the partition and the diaphragm. The mount may include spaced apart projections to allow fluid to flow between the partition and the body member during the air evacuation and fluid fill process.
