A method for redirecting a print job request for electronic transmission is disclosed. For example, a method is executed by a processor and includes receiving a print job request for a document, analyzing the document to identify a document type, determining that the document type is a candidate for electronic transmission, causing a notification to be displayed to transmit the document electronically without executing the print job request, receiving a confirmation to transmit the document electronically, and transmitting the document electronically to a network storage device.

The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for scanning a document at a scan capable device. The method and systems comprise receiving user credentials from a graphical user interface, displaying scan capable devices on a network, creating a shared network folder accessible to a scan capable device, sending a user credential corresponding to the shared network folder to the scan capable device, creating a selectable data entry on the scan capable device corresponding to the network folder, and upon selection of the selectable data entry, digitizing a document and sending the digitized document to the shared network folder corresponding to the selectable data entry.

The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for handling a document including a combination of normal pages and secure pages. The method includes receiving a print job from a user including one or more pages tagged as secure pages and the remaining pages tagged as normal pages. Based on the tagging, the normal pages are printed automatically without requiring any authentication information from the user and the secure pages are printed upon receiving an authentication information from the user. Finally, based on user's input, the printed secure pages and the printed normal pages are rearranged to have a complete ordered printed document.

Methods and systems for handling a document having a combination of pages

A system and method for generating separations between jobs in a batch of scanned pages are provided. The method includes, for each of a set of jobs, capturing an image of a representative page of the job. Thereafter, the method includes scanning the set of jobs as a batch to generate a set of scanned pages. The captured images are compared with scanned pages in the set of scanned pages to identify, for at least one captured image, a respective scanned page which matches the captured image. At least one separator is generated for separating the set of scanned pages based on a location of the matching scanned page(s).

Document separation by document sequence reconstruction based on information capture

Methods and systems receive a scan job into a computerized device from an optical scanning device. The computerized device is operatively connected to the optical scanning device. These methods and systems process, using the computerized device, the scan job. Further, such methods and systems use the computerized device to cause a printing device operatively connected to the optical scanning device to print a scan confirmation sheet. The scan confirmation sheet indicates that the computerized device received the scan job. The scan confirmation sheet comprises computer readable markings. The computerized device can receive a transmission of the computer readable markings from a second device separate from the computerized device. In response to receiving the transmission of the computer readable markings printed on the scan confirmation sheet, the computerized device can provide the status of the processing of the scan job, and/or alter or cancel the processing of the scan job.

Enhanced job confirmation sheet

A method and system for processing a print stream are provided. The methodology includes generating at least one copy of the print stream and transmitting a first copy of the at least one copy of the print stream to a sub-system of said computer system. The methodology further includes transmitting a second copy of the at least one copy of the print stream to a print driver and processing the second copy of the printer stream by the designated print driver. The methodology further includes transmitting the processed second copy to the at least one printer for generating a printout corresponding to the print stream.

Method and system for automatically generating a copy of a print stream

Methods and systems execute a first scan job using a scanner device to produce a first electronic scan item, and automatically transmit the first electronic scan item from the scanner device to a computerized device over a network. Exemplary methods herein start execution of a second scan job immediately after executing the first scan job (without waiting for confirmation that the computerized device received the first scan job) using the scanner device to produce a second electronic scan item. Further, such methods automatically generate a first scan receipt confirmation using the computerized device and automatically transmit the first scan receipt confirmation from the computerized device to at least one receiving device (e.g., the scanner device) over the network. Such exemplary methods can therefore automatically display the first scan receipt confirmation (on a graphic user interface of the at least one receiving device) after starting execution of the second scan job.

Batch confirmation of distributed scan job submission in a business processing system

A system and methods are disclosed to automatically extract data from documents, such as scanned paper forms and/or digital forms that need to be pre-configured to understand a layout for the forms to be processed. The system extracts data from the form definition at a two dimensional barcode and dynamically configures a workflow with services for extracting desired user filled information from the data fields present on the form. Support for a re-flowable service is provided.

A method for archiving is disclosed. The method comprises generating a first image file corresponding to an original print using a first printer placed at a first location. Further, the first image file is transmitted from the first location to a second printer placed at a second location. The method further includes generating a duplicate print corresponding to the first image file at the second location. Further, a quality of the first image file is compared with a quality of the duplicate print, and the duplicate print is archived based on the comparison.

Certified print archiving

A system, method, and apparatus for mark recognition in an image of an original document are provided. The method/system takes as input an image of an original document in which at least one designated field is provided for accepting a mark applied by a user (which may or may not have been marked). A region of interest (RoI) is extracted from the image, roughly corresponding to the designated field. A center of gravity (CoG) of the RoI is determined, based on a distribution of black pixels in the RoI. Thereafter, for one or more iterations, the RoI is partitioned into sub-RoIs, based on the determined CoG, where at a subsequent iteration, sub-RoIs generated at the prior iteration serve as the RoI partitioned. Data is extracted from the RoI and sub-RoIs at one or more of the iterations, which allows a representation of the entire RoI to be generated which is useful in classifying the designated field, e.g., as positive (marked) or negative (not marked).

A document processing method includes receiving, at a server with a network interface, electronic documents from a user. The server includes a software application adapted to recognize a class of electronic documents to which the electronic documents belong. The method also includes processing the electronic documents received from the user to extract data therefrom based on a recognition that the electronic documents belong to the class of electronic documents. The extracted data corresponds to a service being provided to the user. The method also includes automatically mapping the extracted data from the processed electronic documents to a data repository on the server. The data repository is accessible by the user through the network interface. The method also includes electronically generating output data based on the mapped data from the data repository to the user. The output data corresponds to the service being provided to the user.

System and method of on-demand document processing

A method for separating and categorizing documents includes receiving a scanned batch of documents. The batch includes scanned documents to which document separator stamps have been applied before scanning. Each stamp includes machine recognizable patterns applied on a same page of a document, spaced by a designated field for receiving a user-applied category code. The scanned batch of documents is processed to identify pages that contain a document separator, including identifying at least one of two spaced patterns. For a document page for which a document separator is identified, the the corresponding designated field is located and the category code associated with the designated field identified. The document containing the is separated from other documents in the batch based the identified separator and a document category is assigned to the document, based on the identified category code.

Method for one-step document categorization and separation using stamped machine recognizable patterns

A method for job separation in a high volume document scanning is provided. The method includes monitoring a document receiver with a monitor device to determine when a batch of documents has been received by the document receiver and in response to the monitor device determining the batch of documents has been received by the document receiver, automatically inserting a job separation document with a separation document inserter at an end of the batch to separate the batch of documents from a successive batch of documents.

Method and system for job separation in high volume document scanning

A device management system and method for tracking bypass of a print governance policy. A print control agent application can be configured with a set of predefined print governance policies in order to manage a rendering job activity. The print control agent application can pass, confirm and/or reject the rendering job based on the print governance policies. The rendering job activity that bypasses the print governance policies based on a policy violation approach can be tracked and measured utilizing a set of tracking algorithms in order to generate a tracked data. A bypass report can be visually generated based on the tracked data in order to analyze the policy violation and its frequency of occurrence thereby improving compliance with the rendering policies.
