A helmet features a sound management mechanism within a hard exterior shell and an interior of expanded polystyrene foam. Ear cups embedded within the shell surround the ears, with a torus-shaped soft material forming a seal against the wearer's head. The helmet allows the transition of ear cups between engaged and disengaged positions. The engaged position is against the head. The disengaged position is away from the head, allowing easy placement and removing of the helmet. Positions may be transitioned using one hand. The helmet may include lateral adjustment of ear cups, and some versions incorporate electronic audio features like noise cancellation, communication capabilities, and wireless connectivity.

Systems and methods for stabilizing the steering and throttle of a radio-controlled (RC) vehicle are described herein. More specifically, sensors and circuitry are configured to control the wheel speed and wheel direction of a RC vehicle based on rotational information. In operation, one or more sensors may be configured to receive angular rotational information associated with a rotation of the RC vehicle. The rotational information may define a rotation of the RC vehicle around one or more axes of the RC vehicle. The circuitry may be configured to receive the angular rotation information associated with the rotation of the RC vehicle from the one or more sensors, and control a wheel speed and/or a wheel direction of at least one wheel of the RC vehicle based at least in part on (i) command data received from a controller associated with the RC vehicle and (ii) the received angular rotation information.

Dynamic stabilization system and methods for an RC vehicle

A utility machine, such as an outdoor power equipment unit such as a lawn mower, includes a work unit performing work in addition to motive power for the utility machine and a trailer occupied by an operator in a standing position. The operator may seamlessly step onto the trailer to operate the machine in stand-on mode and step off the trailer to operate the machine in walk-behind mode. The trailer remains in the deployed condition in both stand-on mode and walk-behind mode.

Dynamic stabilization system and methods for a RC vehicle

The present invention is a method and system for controlling a RC device via a secure radio link. In one embodiment of the invention, spread spectrum modulation may be employed which may provide a digital radio frequency (RF) link between a controller and a RC device. A controller may be coupled with a transmitter module and a radio controlled device may be coupled with a receiver module in accordance with the present invention to provide an add-on upgrade capability. The method and system for controlling a RC device may also include error detection and correction, interpolation of lost packets, failsafe technology and force-feedback telemetric technology to further enhance the user experience with radio controlled devices.

Method and system for controlling radio controlled devices

A rotary valve unit is provided for blending fluid sources to regulate a temperature of fluid flowing to a heat exchange device in an extracorporeal blood perfusion circuit. A valve body includes a valve chamber having a first inlet port, a second inlet port, a first outlet port, and a second outlet port. A wedged-shaped rotary valve is disposed within the valve chamber and is rotatable within the valve chamber for controlling a blending of the cold fluid entering the fluid chamber from the first inlet port and the return fluid entering the fluid chamber from the second inlet port to regulate the desired temperature of fluid provided to the heat exchanger. The wedge-shaped rotary valve is positionable to provide either only cold fluid to the first outlet port, only return fluid to the first outlet port, or blending of the cold fluid and return fluid to the first outlet port.

A firearm projectile includes a central section, a forward or leading section, and a rear or trailing section. A step down is provided between the central section and the trailing section such that the cross sectional area of the trailing section is less than the cross sectional area of the central section. In addition the trailing section is provided with a cavity that is open about the back of the trailing section. The cavity includes a forward section and rearward section. Forming the part of the forward section is a forward wall that terminates in the trailing section short of the central section. The rearward section of the cavity flares outwardly with respect to the forward section. Furthermore the rearward portion of the rearward section of the cavity forms a part of an annular flare ring that extends around the outer portion of the back of the trailing section.

Firearm projectile with enhanced aerodynamic properties

An inclinometer for measuring the angle between a reference angular position and an angularly adjustable surface, such as on the control surfaces of a model aircraft. In one form, the inclinometer has a beam and a pair of opposed arms attached to the beam with centering faces to attach the inclinometer to the leading and trailing edges of the adjustable surface. In another form, the inclinometer has opposed gripping faces to attach to opposite sides of the adjustable surface. A pair of accelerometers sense the earth's gravitational vector and supply output signals to a data processor. The data processor determines a first reference position and a second angular position of the adjustable surface to determine the angle of the adjustable surface. A display receives information from the data processor to display the angle. Related methods are also disclosed.

Digital inclinometer and related methods

A reflector particularly adapted for use in automotive light assemblies and other point light source applications. The reflector includes two nested aluminum discs. Each disc defines a plurality of semi-circular holes and includes a half-cone or other partial revolved surface extending from each hole. The half-cones of the first disc extend through the stamped holes of the second disc. The semi-circular holes on the two discs cooperate to define circular holes, and the half-cones at each circular hole cooperate to form full cones. Preferably, the disks are identical; and the first disc is rotated 180.degree. for nesting with the second disc. When the reflector is incorporated into a light assembly, LEDs or other point light sources are positioned within each full cone, and a lens is mounted over the reflector.

Reflector for automotive exterior lighting

A mounting pad for mounting a sensor transducer, such as an ultrasonic level sensor, on a fluid reservoir, such as a blood reservoir. The mounting pad comprises a bayonet-type locking mechanism for mounting the transducer on the mounting pad, and a pair of foot pads connected to the body of the mounting pad by living hinges. The living hinges are provided along an outer surface of the foot pads at a location intermediate the edges of the foot pads, such that the foot pads can pivot relative to the body to conform to the configuration of the reservoir and such that any forces applied to the foot pads via the body of the mounting pad are applied intermediate the edges of the foot pads, as opposed to directly along the edges.
