Roll-formed channel for retail displays

A merchandise display system for supporting products in a retail environment in a vertical array, the system having channeled slatwall with a plurality of horizontal, vertically adjacent generally P-shaped channels upon which different types of hardware and bracketry can be engaged. The P-shaped channels have upper and lower troughs in which different types of hooks and brackets are insertable, with the sections of the channels as load bearing surfaces. The slatwall can be formed with at least two channels extending from a single contiguous rear wall. The rear wall of the slatwall is securable to a backer panel with corrugations which are orthogonal to the channels. The slatwall is fastened to one or more backer panels by lances which protrude from the backer panel, and/or by securement fasteners between the channels of the slatwall.

A modular rack unit for displaying greeting cards and the like comprises a base, three upstanding support members, two top rails and four panel assemblies. Each upstanding support member has its base end secured to the base so that it is substantially normal to the base's top planar surface. Two upstanding support members are end members, located at the front corners of the base and the third upstanding support member, has its base end positioned along the rear edge approximately midway between the first and second ends. The end upstanding support members are communicated to the central upstanding support member by the two top rails, so that the end upstanding support members, the central upstanding support member, the base, and the top rails form a pair of rectangular frame areas. Panel assemblies are positioned in each of the pair of rectangular frame areas so that a display face, adapted for receiving a plurality of means for displaying greeting cards or the like, on each panel assembly is outwardly directed. One of the panel assemblies in each of the rectangular frame areas faces another at an obtuse angle with the central upstanding support member forming the vertex of the obtuse angle. When end support members are shared by two abutting bases, the rack units may be linked together to form a linear rack display unit.

An improved louver assembly to be used in conjunction with a strip lighting fixture is disclosed. Louver assemblies can be used in series with rows of strip lighting fixtures to form an improved louvered lighting system. The louver assembly is comprised of two longerons which are parallel to and adjacent the lighting fixture. Two brackets mounted over the lighting fixture support the longerons and align them with longerons of adjacent assemblies. A set of louvers is attached to and between opposite longerons. The set of louvers has a stringer fin running transversely through the louver centers and two side baffles running transversely along the louvers' inside corners. The assembly can be swung open easily for access to the lighting fixture.

Universal fit longeron supported louver system

A lighting system having a light source is disposed inside the reflective inner surface of a reflector. The longitudinal profile of the reflector is a continuous curve comprised of four substantially circular arcs and a parabolic segment. A first arc lies nearest the source. A second arc having a radius of substantially 1/2 (1+.sqroot.5) times the radius of the first 'continues' the first in the sense that the arcs have the same slope at their point of contact. Likewise, a third arc having a radius of substantially 1/2 (1+.sqroot.5) times the radius of the second continues the second arc and a fourth has a radius substantial 1/2 (1+.sqroot.5) times the radius of the third. The parabolic segment continues the fourth arc and completes the profile. Internal and external reflecting means may be provided to further align and direct the exiting light.
