Methods and systems of graft polymerization on a functionalized substrate

Graft polymerization is fullfiled on a functionalized substrate. The functionalized substrate is prepared from a disulfide bond-containing feedstock and has been prepared for polymerization through the introduction of one or more polyfunctional monomers containing a disulfide bond breaking material functional group.

The embodiments provided herein are directed to methods and systems for generating a customized functionalized substrate. In particular, the embodiments provided herein generate a customized functionalized substrate that can be used for a variety of applications and a variety of chemical and other reactions, processes and methodologies, by modifying a disulfide bond-containing feedstock through the introduction of a disulfide bond breaking material.

Methods and systems to prepare functionalized substrate from disulfide bond-containing material

The present invention provides a time-temperature integrating indicator having an amorphous material in operable contact with a porous matrix, wherein the amorphous material only migrates into the porous matrix at or above a predetermined temperature. Use of the invention simplifies monitoring of the cumulative temperature exposure of the product because no additional actuation step is required. The indicator is especially useful in monitoring the cumulative time-temperature exposure of a perishable product for a short period of time at an abusive temperature.

A tamper-indicating label which includes (i) light-transmissive facestock, (ii) a light-transmissive imaged release coating covering a portion of the facestock so as to provide indicia, (iii) a contrast enhancement coating over the release coated surface of the facestock, and (iv) an adhesive coated upon the contrast enhancement layer where the indicia provided by the release coating is not visible until the facestock is forcibly separated from the release coating after which the indicia becomes permanently visible and the label is provided with sufficient assembly cohesive strength to keep the label together as a single unit after the facestock is separated from the release coating and the indicia is rendered visually perceptible.
