A portable air filter cleaning device includes a housing configured to receive an air filter to be cleaned, at least one spray mechanism within the housing for spraying fluid onto the air filter to be cleaned within the housing, a cleaning fluid reservoir coupled to at least one spray mechanism for selectively spraying cleaning fluid onto the air filter to be cleaned within the housing, a rinsing fluid reservoir coupled to at least one spray mechanism for selectively spraying rinsing fluid onto the air filter to be cleaned within the housing; and a motor for facilitating cleaning, rinsing and drying of the air filter to be cleaned. The device may be rotational for cylindrical type air filters or designed for cleaning flat plate type air filters. An associated method of cleaning an air filter is disclosed.

Portable air filter cleaning devices and methods of use

An apparatus for the processing of wire and/or tubular components includes a base member and at least two wire/tube processing modules. The modules can be releasably engaged with each other and the base member in which engagement mechanically and electrically couples the modules and the base member. The base member includes an operator interface enabling operation to any linked module.

Method and apparatus for processing metal bearing gases

A system and methods are described for generating reagent ions and product ions for use in a mass spectrometry system. Applications for the system and method are also disclosed for detecting volatile organic compounds in trace concentrations. A microwave or high-frequency RF energy source ionizes particles of a reagent vapor to form reagent ions. The reagent ions enter a chamber, such as a drift chamber, to interact with a fluid sample. An electric field directs the reagent ions and facilitates an interaction with the fluid sample to form product ions. The reagent ions and product ions then exit the chamber under the influence of an electric field for detection by a mass spectrometer module. The system includes various control modules for setting values of system parameters and analysis modules for detection of mass and peak intensity values for ion species during spectrometry and faults within the system.

Chemical ionization reaction or proton transfer reaction mass spectrometry

A system and method are provided for delivering power to a dynamic load. The system includes a power supply providing DC power having a substantially constant power open loop response, a power amplifier for converting the DC power to RF power, a sensor for measuring voltage, current and phase angle between voltage and current vectors associated with the RF power, an electrically controllable impedance matching system to modify the impedance of the power amplifier to at least a substantially matched impedance of a dynamic load, and a controller for controlling the electrically controllable impedance matching system. The system further includes a sensor calibration measuring module for determining power delivered by the power amplifier, an electronic matching system calibration module for determining power delivered to a dynamic load, and a power dissipation module for calculating power dissipated in the electrically controllable impedance matching system.

A system, components thereof, and methods are described for time-of-flight mass spectrometry. A microwave or high-frequency RF energy source is used to ionize a reagent vapor to form reagent ions. The reagent ions enter a chamber and interact with a fluid sample to form product ions. The reagent ions and product ions are directed to a time-of-flight mass spectrometer module for detection and determination of a mass value for the ions. The time-of-flight mass spectrometer module can include an optical system and an ion beam adjuster for focusing, interrupting, or altering a flow of reagent and product ions according to a specified pattern. The time-of-flight mass spectrometer module can include signal processing techniques to collect and analyze an acquired signal, for example, using statistical signal processing, such as maximum likelihood signal processing.

Chemical ionization reaction or proton transfer reaction mass spectrometry with a time-of-flight mass spectrometer

The antisymmetric optimal control algorithm is disclosed for a gas delivery system including a flow ratio controller for dividing a single mass flow into at least two flow lines. Each flow line includes a flow meter and a valve. Both valves of the flow ratio controller are controlled through a ratio feedback loop by the antisymmetric optimal controller which includes a single input single output SISO controller, an inverter and two linear saturators. The output of the SISO controller is split and modified before being applied to the two valves. The two valve control commands are virtually antisymmetric to the maximum allowable valve conductance position. Due to the fact that these two valve commands are passing through respective linear saturators with the maximum allowable valve conductance position as one of the two saturation limits, the net effect is that one valve is kept at the maximum allowable valve conduction position at any moment of time while the other is actively controlled to maintain the flow ratio.

Gas delivery method and system including a flow ratio controller using antisymmetric optimal control

A mass flow controller includes a mass flow sensor and a calibrator configured to perform a self-calibration on the mass flow controller. The calibrator generates flow measurements that are used as 'standards' and flow measurements from the mass flow sensor are correlated to flow measurements from the calibrator.
