A high density wiring system to transmit radio frequency (RF) signals to superconducting qubits disposed within a dilution refrigerator is disclosed. The high density wiring system comprises a plurality of flexible layers, with conductive layers disposed between adjacent pairs of flexible layers. The conductive layers may be constructed using phosphor bronze. The wiring system that is disposed at the lower temperature stages of the dilution refrigerator may be coated with a superconducting material. The wiring system is useful for superconducting quantum computers and cryogenic sensors, as well as cryogenic infrastructure.

Disclosed herein is an actuator wherein, when in use, a magnetic force holding assembly maintains the slider in substantial repulsion at the first position and substantial attraction at the second position.

Energy efficient actuator

The present application for patent provides a belt clutch having a drum with a drum-side friction surface, an open ended belt with a belt-side friction surface, and an externally controlled actuator on one end of the belt. The belt is configured to be coupled to a source of torque on the other end of the belt. The belt-side and drum-side friction surfaces engage frictionally when in use, such that the effective coefficient of friction between the drum-side friction surface and the belt-side friction surface varies across the width or length of the belt.

Open belt clutch

Disclosed and claimed herein is an improved leg brace having a thigh frame, a shank frame, a knee assembly rotatably coupling the thigh frame to the shank frame, and a shoe component attached to the shank frame; the knee assembly having a spring, clutch, means for engaging the clutch; and programmable means for engaging the clutch at a selected angle between the thigh frame and shank frame.

Disclosed and claimed herein are spiral torsion springs, non-linear torsion springs, and non-linear torsion spring assemblies. These devices are useful in damping applications, orthotic joint applications and servo control applications.
