A reflector lamp comprises an arc discharge tube disposed at about the focus of a parabolic reflector. The arc tube is supported by two lead-in support wires which extend through the back of the reflector. The external ends of the lead-in support wires are secured in a stabilizer support which is adhesively bonded to the back of the reflector.

High intensity reflector lamp

An indicator structure including one or more lengths of perforated tubing arranged in a desired configuration, such as a traffic barricade. The tubing contains one or more flash lamps which produce a light-tunnel effect during operation to provide a high intensity warning or indicating signal in a pre-selected configuration of flash illumination via the tubing perforations.

Flashing light indicator structures

A retrofit assembly for replacing a lens-containing lamp in an overhead projector. The assembly comprises a quartz-halogen lamp, having an internal reflector and an enlarged base removably mounted in the projector, and a lens holding bracket removably mounted in the projector in alignment with the lamp. The bracket is resiliently pivoted toward the lamp and has a tab for striking the lamp base to retain the lens at a predetermined distance from the lamp.

Lamp and lens retrofit assembly for overhead projector

A UV source comprising an arc lamp containing deuterium gas at an initial fill pressure in excess of that at which peak UV light intensity occurs, thereby extending the useful life of the lamp.

Deuterium arc lamp

A flash tube having an elongated tubular envelope containing a pair of anode electrodes disposed at opposite ends and a centrally located cathode electrode which is common to both anodes for simultaneously defining two separate arc discharge paths during operation. The three-electrode configuration is particularly useful in photograhic and photocopying applications for minimizing dark spots and providing a shorter flash duration.

Three-electrode short duration flash tube

A high voltage xenon filled flash tube has a trigger conductor wire embedded in the glass envelope of the tube or in an aluminum reflector on the tube. The wire does not penetrate the glass envelope nor enter the gas filled volume through which arc discharge occurs.
